What is the current stage of Jharkhand ITI admission 2026?

The main NCVT rounds, the second round and the spot round are over. DET then opened a fresh NCVT window from 10 to 12 October 2026 for registration and ITI and trade option selection.

  • If you registered earlier but did not get admission, you do not need to register again. You must still select your ITI and trade options afresh.
  • DET will prepare and publish a merit list only for candidates who select options in this window. Its date has not been announced.
  • For SCVT-affiliated trades in Government and PPP-mode ITIs, the schedule lists online applications from 30 September to 3 October 2026. A DET notice says SCVT admission will begin only after the competent authority issues the admission order, so wait for that order on the portal.
  • All admission applications and complaints are handled only through the portal’s Grievance Module.

You can see the seats still vacant in each ITI and trade on the vacant seat page, by institute type, district and institute.

How do the Jharkhand ITI merit list and seat allotment work?

DET ranks candidates on qualifying-exam marks and applies the state reservation rules. It first publishes a provisional merit list, opens a short window to correct name, father’s name, date of birth, marks or percentage and category, and then publishes the final merit list.

  1. Round 1: you can modify your ITI and trade options, then download the provisional seat allotment letter and take admission at the allotted ITI.
  2. Round 2: another option-modification window, followed by admission in the allotted ITI.
  3. Spot round: admission directly at the ITI for vacant seats, only for registered applicants.

There is one provisional and one final merit list, not separate 1st, 2nd and 3rd merit lists. How to check your status is explained on the Jharkhand ITI merit list page.
