JENPAS UG stands for Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Undergraduate Courses. Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria fixed by WBJEEB. Moreover, eligibility for admission is determined by the respective Universities and varies by course.
Citizenship and domicile: The applicant must be a citizen of India and a domicile of West Bengal.
Academic qualification: Candidates must have passed or be appearing in 2026 in class 12 (10+2 system) from a recognised Board or Council with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Mathematics also for BOPTM). Furthermore, course-specific aggregate requirements apply – for example, 45% (40% for reserved) for B.Sc Nursing, 50% for NCAHP courses, and 50% in class 12 aggregate for BHA.
Age limit: The applicant must be at least 17 years old as on 31 December 2026. Moreover, there is no upper age limit for B.Sc Nursing, BPT, and BOT. However, BMRIT has an upper limit of 35 years, and BMLS, AOTT, BRT, MMB, BPA, BEMT, BOPTM, CSIC, and BHA have an upper limit of 40 years.
Gender: Only female candidates are eligible for B.Sc Nursing in Government colleges. Both male and female candidates are eligible for all other courses.

Admit Card Download
The admit card was released on 29 May 2026 and remained available until 03:30 p.m. on the exam day. Candidates downloaded the hall ticket from wbjeeb.nic.in/jenpas-ug by logging in with their application number and password. Answer Key, Result and Merit Ranks
After the exam, WBJEEB will release the model answer key on wbjeeb.nic.in. Candidates can then match their responses and challenge any incorrect answer by paying Rs. 500 per question. Furthermore, the result and rank card will be published on a date to be notified later. Two separate merit ranks are prepared:
- General Merit Rank (GMR): Based on Paper-I score. Used for admission to all courses except BHA.
- BHA Merit Rank (BMR): Based on Paper-II score. Used for admission to BHA only.

Examination Zones
JENPAS UG 2026 is conducted across multiple examination zones in West Bengal. Consequently, candidates can choose their preferred zones during application. Common zones include Bankura, Cooch Behar, Siliguri, Howrah, Kolkata, Salt Lake, Ballygunge, Malda, Berhampur, Kalyani, Barrackpur, Asansol, Durgapur, Kharagpur, Medinipur, Burdwan, Haldia, and Garia, among others. Furthermore, the Board reserves the right to allot any zone in case the chosen one is dropped due to insufficient candidates.
Counselling Process
After result declaration, qualified candidates need to participate in the centralised online counselling conducted by WBJEEB for seat allotment. Consequently, the counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, reporting, and upgradation rounds. Furthermore, allotment is based purely on GMR (or BMR for BHA), choice, category, and seat availability. Additionally, all candidates must produce a Medical Fitness Certificate at the time of admission.

WBJEEB conducted the JENPAS UG 2026 exam on 07 June 2026 (Sunday). Paper-I (for all courses except BHA) was held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Paper-II (for BHA only) from 02:00 p.m. to 03:30 p.m. in offline OMR-based mode. The result will be published on a date to be notified later.
Paper-I is for admission to all courses except BHA and covers Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English, and Health Aptitude. Paper-II is only for BHA admission and covers Physical Science, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Basic English, and Logical Reasoning. A candidate can apply for one or both.
For a single paper, the fee is Rs. 500 (Rs. 400 for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS). For both papers, the fee is Rs. 800 (Rs. 650 for SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/EWS). PwD candidates get a 40% concession. Application closed on 18 April 2026.
Each paper has 100 MCQs of 115 marks total, with a duration of 90 minutes. There are 85 Category-1 questions (+1 correct, -1/4 wrong) and 15 Category-2 questions (+2 if all correct options marked, with partial credit possible). Questions are in English and Bengali (except Basic English, Logical Reasoning, and GK).
WBJEEB conducts the entrance test for 13 UG courses: B.Sc Nursing (INC); BPT, BOT, BMLS, AOTT, BPA, BEMT, BOPTM, B.Sc MRIT, BRT (NCAHP); and B.Sc MMB, B.Sc CSIC, BHA (University regulated). Only female candidates are eligible for B.Sc Nursing in Govt colleges.
GMR (General Merit Rank) is prepared based on the Paper-I score and is used for admission to all courses except BHA. BMR (BHA Merit Rank) is prepared based on the Paper-II score and is used only for admission to BHA. Candidates appearing in both papers are eligible for both ranks.
