Jharkhand GNM and ANM previous year question papers for 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 are free to download here as PDFs, all from the JCECEB nursing entrance (NECE) that was held jointly for GNM and ANM, along with JCECEB’s official answer keys for 2022 to 2026 (separate ANM and GNM keys from 2024). The ANM test now has 100 questions for 100 marks in 2 hours (General Science 50, General Knowledge 25, Mathematics 25), so use the old papers mainly for Science and Maths practice before the exam expected in August 2027.

How the Jharkhand ANM Paper Changed (2017–2026)
- 2017 to 2022: JCECEB held one Nursing Entrance Competitive Examination (NECE) for ANM and GNM. Each paper had 150 questions: English 1–30, Physics 31–60, Chemistry 61–90, Biology 91–120 and Maths 121–150.
- 2024 to 2026: JCECEB held separate ANM and GNM tests (the 2024 to 2026 ANM keys run to 100 questions and the GNM keys to 150). In 2026 ANM had its own test of 100 questions in 2 hours, with General Science 50, General Knowledge 25 and Mathematics 25.
- Using the old papers: their Physics, Chemistry and Biology questions suit the General Science part, and the Maths section suits Mathematics. They have no General Knowledge section, so practise GK on its own.
What a Jharkhand ANM GNM Paper Looks Like
No 2026 ANM question paper is available, so the newest papers here are the NECE papers. The 2018 booklet (code 12NECE, Set A) has 150 four-option questions in five subjects of 30 each. The English section is printed in English only, and the other four subjects give each question in English and Hindi side by side. The PDF ends with JCECEB’s Set A answer key, which gives the answers below. The 2017 booklet cover shows 2 hours 30 minutes and 150 marks, with 1 mark a question and ¼ mark cut for each wrong answer.

The 2022 paper was put together from questions students shared after the exam of 25 September 2022, and the answers in it are unofficial. Check any doubtful answer in it against your textbook.
How to Use Jharkhand ANM GNM Previous Year Papers?
- Practise at the ANM pace. The ANM test gives 2 hours for 100 questions, which is 72 seconds a question. The old NECE allowed 60 seconds a question, so a full old paper is good speed practice.
- Focus on questions 31 to 150. Physics, Chemistry and Biology match the 50-mark General Science part, and the Maths questions match the 25-mark Mathematics part.
- Add General Knowledge yourself. GK carries 25 marks in the ANM test, and none of the old papers has a GK section. Revise current affairs and Jharkhand GK alongside the papers.
- Check the marking rule before you guess. The 2017 NECE cut ¼ mark for a wrong answer. Read the 2027 information bulletin to see the rule for your test.
- Plan for August 2027. Forms are expected in July 2027, about nine months away. Solve each of the four papers twice, a month apart, and revise the chapters where you lose marks.
