What are the subjects in the Kerala CEE LLM 2027 syllabus?
The Kerala CEE LLM syllabus has ten law subjects split into two parts of 100 questions each. CEE Kerala does not publish a detailed topic list; it only says the questions are of LLB examination standard.

Kerala CEE LLM 2027 Exam Pattern and Marking
The exam is a 120-minute computer based test with 200 questions, three marks for each correct answer and minus one for each wrong answer, so the maximum is 600 marks.

Part A matters most if you tie with another candidate: the one with more Part A marks gets the higher rank, and after that the older candidate is placed first.
What topics should you revise in each subject?
Revise the core topics of your LLB course in each subject. The list below is a guide based on the standard LLB syllabus, not an official CEE list.
- Jurisprudence: nature and sources of law, schools of jurisprudence, rights and duties, ownership and possession, legal personality, theories of punishment.
- Constitutional Law: fundamental rights and duties, directive principles, Parliament and the executive, Supreme Court and High Courts, Centre-State relations, emergency, amendment and basic structure.
- Law of Crimes: general principles of criminal liability, stages of crime, general exceptions, major offences, plus the criminal procedure and evidence basics now under BNS, BNSS and BSA.
- Law of Contracts: offer, acceptance and consideration, free consent, void agreements, breach and remedies, quasi-contracts, indemnity, guarantee, bailment and agency.
- Public International Law: sources, subjects, recognition, state responsibility, treaties, law of the sea and the UN system.
- Administrative Law: rule of law, separation of powers, delegated legislation, natural justice, judicial review and writs.
- Law of Property: Transfer of Property Act, sale, mortgage, lease, gift and easements.
- Company Law: incorporation, memorandum and articles, shares, directors, meetings and winding up under the Companies Act, 2013.
- Interpretation of Statutes: rules and aids of interpretation and interpretation of penal and taxing statutes.
- Law of Torts: general principles, negligence, nuisance, defamation, strict and absolute liability and vicarious liability.
How to Prepare for the Kerala CEE LLM 2027 Syllabus
Start with the four Part A subjects, since they carry 100 questions and decide ties. Then cover Public International Law, Administrative Law, Law of Property and Company Law, which carry 20 questions each in Part B.
- Read the bare acts for the Constitution, the new criminal laws, the Contract Act, the Transfer of Property Act and the Companies Act.
- Keep short notes of leading cases for Constitutional Law, Administrative Law and Torts.
- Practise with timed papers on a computer, since the test is CBT with negative marking.
- Skip guesses you are unsure about: a wrong answer costs one mark.
