The KLEE 2026 Syllabus (Kerala Law Entrance Exam Syllabus) covers four subjects — General English, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Mental Ability and Arithmetic, and Aptitude for Legal Studies — for the entrance test conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. Furthermore, candidates appearing for the Kerala Law Entrance Exam 2026 (KLEE) are 10+2 students seeking admission to five-year integrated LL.B. programmes (B.A. LL.B., B.Com LL.B.) so the test focuses on aptitude and general awareness at the Higher Secondary level. Subsequently, the paper is conducted as an online Computer-Based Test (CBT) with 200 MCQs, 600 total marks, and a duration of 2 hours. Therefore, this page covers the complete section-wise syllabus, section weightage, exam pattern, preparation tips, and recommended books. Moreover, candidates can also solve previous year question papers for authentic preparation. Additionally, check the admit card, answer key, and result pages for related updates.

Latest: KLEE 2026 exam is on June 28, 2026. Last date to apply: June 15, 2026. Apply at cee.kerala.gov.in/llb5online2026/. The detailed syllabus PDF will be available in the official prospectus on cee.kerala.gov.in.

KLEE 2026 Syllabus — Overview

What is it? The KLEE 2026 Syllabus is the prescribed list of topics for the Kerala Law Entrance Examination conducted by CEE Kerala. Furthermore, since the test targets 10+2 candidates entering the LL.B. programme for the first time, the syllabus assesses general aptitude, language skills, basic arithmetic, and legal awareness rather than specialised legal knowledge. Subsequently, the syllabus covers four sections with defined question counts and marks. Therefore, candidates should build a strong foundation across all four areas. Additionally, the exam is fully in English.

KLEE 2026 Exam Pattern

CEE Kerala conducts the LLB 5 Year entrance test in online Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Furthermore, the test consists of 200 MCQs across four sections. Therefore, candidates should time themselves per section during practice. Subsequently, negative marking applies.

Preparation Tips for KLEE 2026

KLEE 2026 rewards consistent reading and general awareness. Furthermore, the Aptitude for Legal Studies section (35% weightage) requires specific preparation beyond standard GK books. Subsequently, mock tests and previous year papers help identify weak areas.

  • Read at least one English daily newspaper (The Hindu, Indian Express) regularly for English and GK preparation.
  • Maintain a current affairs notebook with monthly summaries, focusing on legal and Kerala-specific events.
  • Read NCERT Class 11–12 Polity textbooks (Indian Constitution at Work) for legal awareness foundation.
  • Follow legal websites and blogs for current legal affairs, recent judgments, and new legislation.
  • Practice mental ability and arithmetic daily using standard competitive exam books.
  • Solve previous year KLEE question papers to understand the question style and section-wise difficulty.
  • Take timed online CBT mocks to simulate exam conditions and build endurance for 200 questions in 2 hours.
  • Focus the last 2 weeks on revision, current affairs, and legal aptitude practice — do not start new topics.

Recommended Books for KLEE 2026

The following books are recommended for KLEE 2026 preparation. Furthermore, no single book covers the entire KLEE syllabus, so candidates should combine multiple resources. Subsequently, previous year question papers remain the most valuable resource for understanding the exact question pattern.

  • Legal Aptitude / Law Entrance: A.P. Bhardwaj Legal Aptitude Workbook 6th Ed (CLAT/AILET/AMU/JMI) — useful for Aptitude for Legal Studies section preparation.
