Exam Pattern for Lucknow University Admission 2018

The exam pattern for UG, PG and other courses given below is obtained form information brochure of 2018.

For UG Courses

  1. Number of Questions: 100
  2. Type of Questions: MCQ
  3. Duration of the exam: 90 minutes
  4. Marking Scheme: Each question shall be of 04 marks.
  5. Negative Marking: There shall be a negative marking of 01 marks for every incorrect answer.
  6. Whereas, for Faculty of Arts, the entrance test shall comprise of 50 objective type questions to be given in a duration of 60 minutes.

B.V.A./ B.F.A., all Diploma, and Certificate courses

The entrance test of  B.V.A./ B.F.A., all Diploma, and Certificate courses shall be based on written and practical examination. The exam structure for the given courses shall be as follows:

  1. Duration of the exam: 02 hours 
  2. The entrance test for PG programs shall be divided into three segments:

Section A

  • This section would comprise of five questions of 05 marks each.
  • The applicants would have to answer all of them in not more than 50 words for each question.
  • This section would account for a total of 25 marks.

Section B

  • There shall be 03 questions in this section
  • The applicants would have to answer any two of them in not more than 150 words for each question.
  • Each question shall be of 15 marks and a total of 30 marks.

Section C

  • There shall be 02 questions in this section.
  • The applicants would have to answer any one of them in not more than 300 words
  • Each question will be divided into a minimum of two segments.
  • The question would be for 20 marks. Therefore this section would account for a total of 20 marks.

For LL.B. (Three Year) and MCA program

  1. Duration of the Test: 90 minutes
  2. Number of Questions: 100
  3. Type of Questions: MCQ
  4. Marking Scheme: Each question shall be of 04 marks
  5. Negative Marking: There shall be a negative marking of 01 marks for every incorrect answer.

  • Indian Polity: Structure and Functions
  • General Awareness
