How to Apply for Lucknow University Entrance Exam 2027
You apply online on the Samarth admission portal, lkounivadm.samarth.edu.in, in two parts: first a one-time Lucknow University Registration Number (LURN), then a separate form for each programme you want.

- Open the admission link on lkouniv.ac.in or go straight to lkounivadm.samarth.edu.in.
- Fill the LURN form, enter the OTP sent to your mobile and pay the Rs 100 LURN fee online.
- Note the LURN sent to your mobile and email. The same LURN works for every programme form.
- Choose a programme, enter your LURN and fill in your educational qualifications. If your Class 12 or degree result is awaited, enter the board or university and roll number now.
- Upload your photo and signature in JPEG (up to 50 KB each), plus your EWS, caste or income certificate if you claim a benefit.
- Preview the form, then pay the application fee by credit card, debit card or net banking. Registration details cannot be edited after payment.
- Print the form and fee receipt and keep them. You do not post them to the university.

Who can apply for Lucknow University Entrance Exam 2027?
You can apply if you have passed, or are appearing in, the qualifying exam: Class 12 for UGET and a bachelor’s degree for PGET. Minimum marks depend on the programme. The figures below are from the 2026-27 brochures and are based on total marks of all subjects.

- If your result is awaited, you must meet the eligibility by the day of counselling. The university checks eligibility at counselling, not when you apply.
- Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and EWS applies only to candidates originally from Uttar Pradesh. Reserved-category candidates from other states are treated as General.
- Some courses do not fill seats mainly through UGET. LLB (Integrated 5 Years) admits on CLAT scores first and uses UGET only for vacant seats. B.Pharm uses CUET-UG merit, B.Tech uses JEE Main and UPTAC counselling, and MBA uses CAT first, with LUMET for unfilled seats.
What is the Lucknow University Entrance Exam 2027 pattern?
Most UGET and PGET papers have 100 multiple-choice questions in 90 minutes, 2 marks each, with no negative marking. This is the pattern in the 2026-27 brochures; the 2027 brochure will confirm it.

PGET questions come from the University of Lucknow graduation syllabus of the subject. If a PG subject gets fewer applications than seats, no test is held and admission goes by qualifying-exam marks.

Lucknow University Entrance Exam 2027 FAQs
Does Lucknow University accept CUET scores?
Only for a few programmes. In 2026-27, B.Pharm admission was on CUET-UG merit. Most campus UG and PG programmes use the university’s own UGET and PGET.
How is a tie in UGET marks broken?
The candidate with the higher Class 12 (or polytechnic diploma) percentage ranks higher. If that is also equal, the higher Class 10 percentage decides. For PGET, graduation percentage is checked first, then Class 12.
Can I edit my LU application form after paying the fee?
Registration-page details cannot be changed after payment. Some fields, such as date of birth, gender and address, can be edited until the last date, but your name and parents’ names cannot. Category changes are allowed only for General and OBC applicants.
Do SC and ST students get fee relief at Lucknow University?
Yes. SC and ST candidates pay half the application fee. They can also claim zero fees at admission by entering a valid income certificate, issued on or after 1 January of the admission year, in the form.
Is LU UGET used for affiliated-college admission?
For some programmes. In 2026, the B.El.Ed and BJMC tests were for affiliated-college seats. Other college admissions ran through centralised LURN registration on the same Samarth portal.
