How to check the Lucknow University merit list 2027?
You check your result by finding your name and merit number in the merit list PDF for your programme on lkouniv.ac.in.
- Go to lkouniv.ac.in.
- Open the UG Merit List 2027 or PG Merit List 2027 page. In 2026 these pages were titled ‘UG Merit List 2026’ and ‘PG Merit List 2026’.
- Open the provisional merit list PDF for your programme or subject.
- Search for your name or application number and note your merit number.
- Keep your merit number ready for counselling registration.
Merit lists are not published in newspapers, and the university does not send them to candidates individually.
How is the LU UGET and PGET 2027 merit decided?
Merit is based on your marks in the entrance test, plus any weightage you are entitled to.
- Weightage, where it applies, is added to entrance marks, for example for outstanding sportspersons and NCC ‘B’ certificate holders as listed in the brochure.
- UG ties: the higher Class 12 (or polytechnic diploma) percentage wins, then the higher Class 10 percentage.
- PG ties: the higher graduation percentage wins, then the higher Class 12 percentage.
- Reservation applies only to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) and EWS candidates originally from Uttar Pradesh.
- LLB (Integrated 5 Years) seats go first on CLAT scores; the UGET merit list fills only vacant seats.

After the merit lists, the university runs off-campus online counselling, where you register and submit your choices.

- Check your allotment and pay the admission fee.
- Complete document verification. Your eligibility is checked at this stage.
Seats left vacant after counselling are filled through direct admission notices. In 2026 these came on 29 August 2026.
Which documents are checked at LU counselling 2027?
Keep your marksheets and the certificates you entered in the form ready, because they are verified at counselling.
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, and degree marksheets for PG
- OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate issued within three years of 1 July of the admission year
- Caste and EWS certificates, which are verified on the government website
- Income certificate issued on or after 1 January of the admission year, for SC and ST zero-fee benefit
- A gap affidavit on Rs 10 stamp paper, if you have a gap after Class 12
