What are the sections in the MH CET Law 2027 syllabus?
The MH CET Law paper has one online test with five sections and 120 questions in all. Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning together make up more than half the paper.

What does Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning cover?
This section tests your interest in law, legal aptitude and problem solving. Each question gives a legal principle and a set of facts, and you apply the principle to the facts. Some principles may not be true in real life, but you must assume they are true and answer on that basis.
No prior study of law is needed, but these areas help you read principles faster:
- Basics of the Indian Constitution: Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Directive Principles and Fundamental Duties
- Simple ideas from the law of torts, such as negligence, nuisance and defamation
- Simple ideas from contract law, such as offer, acceptance and consideration
- Basic criminal law terms and common legal maxims
- Important recent court judgments
What does General Knowledge with Current Affairs cover?
This section covers static general knowledge and the current affairs of the past one year.

What does Logical and Analytical Reasoning cover?
This section tests how well you spot patterns and logical links and find flaws in arguments.
- Analogies and reasoning by analogy

- Understanding structures and relationships among persons, things or events
- Deductive reasoning from a set of statements and rules
What does English cover?
The English section has questions on vocabulary, proficiency, usage errors and comprehension.
- Vocabulary: synonyms, antonyms and analogies
- Proficiency: idioms and phrases, one-word substitution, sentence improvement and rearrangement, fill in the blanks
- Usage errors: common errors, spotting errors, wrong use of words and spelling mistakes
- Reading comprehension
What does Mathematical Aptitude cover?
This section tests numerical ability at Class 10 level.

What is the MH CET Law 2027 marking scheme?
Each correct answer gets 1 mark and there is no negative marking, so you should attempt every question. The test lasts 120 minutes and the questions are in English and Marathi. When the paper was cut from 150 to 120 marks in 2025, the CET Cell kept the syllabus, the section weightage and the duration the same.

How should you prepare for MH CET Law 2027?
- Practise principle and fact questions daily, since Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning carry 64 of the 120 marks.
- Read a newspaper every day and keep notes of current affairs from the last 12 months.
- Revise Class 10 maths topics like percentages, time and work and averages for the 8 maths questions.
- Build vocabulary and grammar for English through regular reading and short exercises.
- Solve MH CET Law previous year papers and the official mock test to get used to the online format.
- Take timed full-length tests in the last month so you can finish 120 questions in 120 minutes.
