How to Apply for NIFT TEA Admission 2027
You apply directly to the college through the admission enquiry and application form on nifttea.ac.in. There is no common counselling or central portal for NIFT-TEA’s own admissions. The form currently online is for 2026-27; the 2027-28 form is expected after the brochure is released.

- If you choose B.Sc. Apparel Fashion Designing or B.Sc. Costume Design and Fashion, take the NIFT TEA Creative Ability Test when the college schedules it.
- Accept the provisional admission offer and pay the full fee within 7 days of your Class 12 result to confirm the seat.

Is NIFT TEA the same as NIFT?
No. NIFT-TEA College of Knitwear Fashion is a separate college in Tiruppur, promoted by the Tiruppur Exporters’ Association. It is not a campus of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
- NIFT-TEA does not use the NIFT entrance exam. You apply to the college directly.
- Clearing or failing the NIFT entrance has no effect on a NIFT-TEA application.

Who can apply for NIFT TEA Admission 2027?
You can apply for a NIFT-TEA UG programme after passing Class 12 (HSC) in any stream, and for a PG programme after a UG degree. The rules below are from the college’s admission cell.

The same admission note also mentions 55% marks in the UG degree for Master’s admission, so confirm the PG minimum with the college. B.Sc. Visual Communication is listed on the programmes page, but its eligibility is not in the admission note.
How are students selected for NIFT-TEA?
NIFT-TEA selects most students on Class 12 (HSC) eligibility, not through an entrance exam. Candidates who meet the criteria get a provisional offer, which is confirmed after the qualifying result and full fee payment.
- Only B.Sc. Apparel Fashion Designing and B.Sc. Costume Design and Fashion need the NIFT TEA Creative Ability Test. The college has not published its format, marks or date.
- The college says its admission procedure follows Government of Tamil Nadu rules, and the brochure carries the communal reservation details.
- Admission of students who left another college, or who passed the qualifying exam more than a year ago, is decided by the Principal or management.
