What is in the Logical Intelligence and language sections?
Logical Intelligence has 20 questions in 20 minutes, five from each area below. The language section (called Verbal Reasoning in the handout and Proficiency in Language in the test design) has 10 questions in 10 minutes.
- Critical thinking (5): decision making based on given rules and conditions, and problem solving.
- Verbal-logical reasoning (5): drawing conclusions from premises and judging arguments.
- Numerical reasoning (5): Venn diagrams and mathematical equalities.
- Data interpretation (5): answering from graphs and charts.
- Language (10): error recognition (2), applied grammar (2), contextual usage (1), sequencing of jumbled sentences (1) and one reading comprehension passage of up to 350 words (4).
What is the NMIMS CET 2027 exam pattern and marking?
The test has 120 multiple choice questions for 120 marks in 120 minutes, with 1 mark per correct answer and no negative marking.

How should you prepare for NMIMS CET 2027?
- Start with the NCERT Class 11 and 12 books for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology; the topics follow the 10+2 curriculum.
- Give more time to the high-count topics listed above, such as current electricity, optics, trigonometry and coordinate geometry.
- Practise reasoning and data interpretation sets daily; the 20 Logical Intelligence questions carry as many marks as two-thirds of a science section.
- Work within the section timers. Each section closes after its own time limit, so speed matters in every part.
- Solve the NMIMS CET previous year question papers under timed conditions.
