Which topics should I study for each subject?
Revise each subject from your B.Sc. Nursing course, since PGIMER does not publish a topic list. These are the core areas to cover:
- Medical Surgical Nursing: nursing care of adults with cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, renal, neurological, endocrine and musculoskeletal disorders, critical care, oncology and perioperative care.
- Community Health Nursing: epidemiology, national health programmes, communicable diseases, nutrition, family and school health, and primary health care.
- Obstetric and Gynaecological Nursing: normal and high-risk pregnancy, labour, the puerperium, care of the newborn at birth, family planning and gynaecological disorders.
- Child Health Nursing: growth and development, immunisation, neonatal care and common childhood illnesses.
- Mental Health Nursing: psychiatric disorders, therapeutic communication, treatment methods and mental health law.
- Nursing Foundations: the nursing process, vital signs, basic procedures, infection control, first aid and giving medicines.
- Nursing Research: the research process, sampling, data collection tools and basic statistics.
- General Knowledge: current affairs and general awareness.
How is the PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2027 paper marked?
Each correct answer gets 1 mark and each wrong answer loses 0.25 marks, so the paper is out of 100. Unanswered questions get zero.
