How to Apply for PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2027
You apply online through the application link that PGIMER posts with the admission notice under Forthcoming Examinations on pgimer.edu.in. In 2026 the form was open from 13 April to 9 May 2026, with a one-day correction window on 10 May 2026.
Apply Online for PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2027
Applications for PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Open pgimer.edu.in and find the M.Sc. Nursing admission notice and prospectus under Forthcoming Examinations.
- Open the online application link and register. Your user ID and password are sent to your registered email ID and mobile number.
- Pay the fee online by debit card, credit card or net banking. UPI payments are not accepted.
- Fill in your qualification, nursing registration, experience and category details and choose your exam city. Cities are allotted first come, first served.
- Upload your photo, signature and self-attested copies of your Class 10 and 12 certificates, all B.Sc. Nursing marksheets, degree, RN and RM registration, experience certificate and, if needed, category, PwBD or NOC documents.
- Submit the form and keep a printout until admissions are over.

In-service nurses from outside PGIMER must upload an NOC from their employer with the form. PGIMER staff and foreign nationals must also send the printed form and documents, through their employer or the Ministry of Health, to the Principal, NINE, at least a week before the test.

There are 31 seats in the 2-year M.Sc. Nursing course at NINE, including 6 for PGIMER staff. The session starts on 16 July each year. The 2026 specialty-wise split is below.

By category, the 25 open seats are General 12, OBC 7, SC 4 and ST 2, and the 6 staff seats are General 3, OBC 2 and SC 1. Two seats go to PwBD candidates on a horizontal basis. Medical Surgical Nursing students pick one of seven sub-specialties: cardiovascular and thoracic, critical care, gastroenterology, nephrology and urology, neurology and neurosurgical, oncology, or orthopaedic and rehabilitation nursing.
Who can apply for PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2027?
You need a B.Sc. Nursing degree with 55% marks, nurse and midwife registration and at least one year of work experience, all by the last date of application. These are the 2026 prospectus rules; check the 2027 prospectus when it comes out.
- Degree: B.Sc. Nursing (4 years) or B.Sc. Nursing (Post Basic) from an institution recognised by the State Nursing Registration Council, with at least 55% marks in aggregate.
- Registration: Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN and RM) with a State Nursing Council. Male candidates can apply with the substitute registration that applies to them.
- Experience: at least one year after RN and RM registration, in bedside nursing (a hospital of at least 100 beds, if private), public health nursing or a recognised nursing college. Experience before registration does not count.
- The experience certificate must be on the hospital’s letterhead and show its bed capacity.
- Category and PwBD certificates issued after the last date of application are not accepted for reservation.
- PwBD reservation is open to candidates with locomotor disability of 40% to 50% of the lower limbs, certified by a board that includes a nursing expert.
What is the PGIMER M.Sc Nursing 2027 exam pattern?
The test is a 90-minute computer-based test of 100 multiple-choice questions with four options each, in English, held in one shift. Each correct answer gets 1 mark and each wrong answer loses 0.25 marks. The subject-wise topics are on the PGIMER M.Sc Nursing syllabus page.
