How is the PGIMER Post Basic B.Sc Nursing merit list made?
Merit is based on percentile in the entrance test, with separate lists for General, SC/ST/OBC, PwBD and PGIMER in-service candidates. You must reach a minimum percentile to qualify.

What happens after the PGIMER Post Basic B.Sc Nursing result?
Called candidates attend physical document verification and counselling at the NINE Auditorium, PGIMER Chandigarh. In 2026, document verification was on 13 August and counselling on 14 August 2026, followed by a second round on 15 September and a mop-up round on 30 September 2026.
- Bring your original documents and one set of photocopies: Class 10 and 12 marksheets, GNM marksheets and diploma, nursing council registration, and category, PwBD or NOC papers if any. DigiLocker copies are not accepted.
- Attend document verification in person on the given date.
- Attend counselling, where seats are offered strictly by merit.
- Pay on the spot with two demand drafts or banker’s cheques in favour of PGIMER Chandigarh: Rs 850 course fee and Rs 5,000 security (2026 amounts).
- Join on the given date. Employed candidates must bring a relieving certificate from their employer, and all students complete a medical examination within two weeks of joining.
Unfilled seats go to later rounds by merit, and no round is held after the mop-up round. A candidate who leaves the course after the last counselling must pay a penalty of Rs 25,000.
