- Scientific Principles, Practice and Trends in Nursing: nursing foundations and procedures, infection control, first aid, professional trends, ethics, nursing education and ward management.
- Medical Surgical Nursing: anatomy and physiology of body systems, care of patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, endocrine, neurological and surgical conditions, pharmacology and emergency care.
- Child Health Nursing: growth and development, care of the newborn and sick child, common childhood illnesses and immunisation.
- Community Health Nursing: primary health care, national health programmes, communicable diseases, health education, environmental hygiene and nutrition.
- Obstetric Nursing and Midwifery: antenatal, intranatal and postnatal care, high-risk pregnancy, newborn care, family planning and gynaecological conditions.

How should I prepare for PGIMER Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2027?
- Start with Medical Surgical Nursing, the largest area at about 20 questions, together with anatomy and physiology.
