The RULET 2027 syllabus has four sections: English Language and Reading Comprehension, Legal Reasoning, Current Affairs including General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning with Quantitative Aptitude. What is in the RULET 2027 syllabus?
English and Legal Reasoning carry two-thirds of the marks, with 50 questions each. This is the official 2026 syllabus; the university has not issued one for 2027 yet.

English Language and Reading Comprehension (50 questions) covers comprehension passages and grammar:
- Reading comprehension
- Tenses, phrasal verbs and idioms
- Co-ordination and subordination, articles and determiners
- Active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech
- Antonyms and synonyms
- Modals for obligation, request, permission, prohibition, intention, condition, probability, possibility, purpose, reason and contrast
Legal Reasoning (50 questions) covers:
- Latin maxims and legal terms
- Indian Constitution and constitutional development
- General understanding of major Indian laws
- Applying legal principles to factual situations
RULET Current Affairs, GK and Reasoning Topics
Current Affairs including General Knowledge (25 questions) covers:
- Current events of national and international importance
- Art and culture of Rajasthan
- Indian history
- Science and technology, and social science
- Legal general knowledge
Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions) covers:
- Alphanumeric series, analogies, blood relations, coding-decoding and odd one out
- Picture and pattern series, seating arrangements, statements and assumptions, syllogisms
- Class 10 level maths: ratio and proportion, basic algebra, profit and loss, time and work, averages, speed and distance
What is the RULET exam pattern and marking?
Each correct answer gets 2 marks and a wrong answer costs nothing, so attempt all 150 questions.

How to Prepare for RULET 2027
Start with English and Legal Reasoning, because together they carry 200 of the 300 marks.
- English: practise one comprehension passage a day and revise the grammar topics named in the syllabus, especially modals, voice and narration.
- Legal Reasoning: learn common Latin maxims and legal terms, read the basics of the Constitution, and solve principle-and-facts questions daily.
- Current Affairs and GK: follow a daily newspaper, keep monthly notes, and revise Rajasthan art and culture separately because the syllabus names it.
- Reasoning and Quant: revise Class 10 arithmetic and practise series, coding and syllogism sets against the clock.
- Solve the RULET previous year question papers in two hours to build the pace of 150 questions.
