The SEED 2027 result will be declared on the Symbiosis Institute of Design (SID) website after the January 2027 exam; SID usually declares it at the end of January. Qualifying candidates are shortlisted for the Portfolio Review and Personal Interaction (PRPI), and the final B.Des merit list follows PRPI.

How to Check the SEED 2027 Result
- Open the SID admission schedule on the result date.
- Click the SEED 2027 result or admission status link when it is published.
- Sign in with your BDES ID or registered email ID and password if asked.
- Check whether you are shortlisted for PRPI in the specialisation you chose.
- Save or print the result page for the next steps.
SID puts up the SEED result on its website as per the admission schedule. In 2026 the result came on 19 January, eight days after the 11 January exam, and the PRPI shortlist on 23 January.
What does the SEED 2027 result decide?
The SEED result decides whether you move to the PRPI round. Shortlisting is done only for the specialisation you selected during online registration.
- SEED has 60 questions for 60 marks with no negative marking.
- A SEED score is valid for one year only.
- The SEED result alone is not the final selection; the merit list also counts your portfolio, PRPI task and Personal Interaction.
Is there an official SEED 2027 cut off?
No. SID does not publish a SEED cut off. Its FAQ says the cut off depends on how candidates perform and on the number of applications in that year.
What happens after the SEED 2027 result?
Shortlisted candidates book a PRPI slot, upload a portfolio and a PRPI task, and attend an online Personal Interaction. SID says PRPI is generally held in March or April, after board exams.

- Keep pen, paper and pencils ready during the Personal Interaction; you may be asked to sketch.
- Selected candidates pay the fee and complete programme registration in the period announced with the merit list.
- Waiting-list candidates are considered in order of merit as seats fall vacant.
- The B.Des programme is expected to begin in July 2027 (tentative).
