The SNAP 2026 syllabus has four sections set by Symbiosis International (Deemed University): General English (10 questions), Analytical and Logical Reasoning (20), Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency (20), and a new Ethics, Morality and Values section (10). SIU publishes only this structure, not a topic list, so the topics below are the commonly tested areas.

What is the SNAP 2026 exam pattern and marking scheme?
SNAP 2026 is a 60-minute computer-based test with 60 four-option questions carrying 1 mark each. Each wrong answer costs 25% of the marks for that question.

You can answer the sections in any order. PwD candidates get 20 minutes extra per hour, which makes 80 minutes.
What is in the SNAP General English section?
General English has 10 questions on reading, grammar and vocabulary. These topics usually appear:
- Reading comprehension
- Verbal reasoning and verbal ability
- Vocabulary: synonyms, antonyms, idioms and phrases
- Sentence correction and grammar
- Para jumbles and fill in the blanks
What is in the SNAP Analytical and Logical Reasoning section?
Analytical and Logical Reasoning has 20 questions. These topics usually appear:
- Series, analogies and coding-decoding
- Blood relations and direction sense
- Seating arrangement and puzzles
- Syllogisms and critical reasoning
- Visual and non-verbal reasoning
What is in the SNAP Quantitative, DI and DS section?
This section has 20 questions on arithmetic, mathematics and data. These topics usually appear:
- Arithmetic: percentages, ratio, profit and loss, time and work, time, speed and distance
- Algebra and number system
- Geometry and mensuration
- Permutation, combination and probability
- Data interpretation from tables, charts and graphs
- Data sufficiency
What is the Ethics, Morality and Values section in SNAP 2026?
Ethics, Morality and Values is a new 10-question section in the SNAP 2026 bulletin. SIU has not released a topic list or sample questions for it, so check the official test structure page for updates before your test.

How should you prepare for SNAP 2026?
- Revise school-level maths first (arithmetic, algebra, geometry), then practise DI sets.
- Give reasoning the most time: it carries 20 marks and rewards regular practice with puzzles and arrangements.
- Read an editorial daily for comprehension and vocabulary.
- Practise speed: 60 questions in 60 minutes leaves about a minute per question, and wrong answers cost marks.
- Take timed SNAP mock tests and register for more than one test date if you can, since only your higher score counts.
- Standard books such as Quantum CAT (Sarvesh K Verma), A New Approach to Reasoning (Arihant) and RS Aggarwal’s Quantitative Aptitude cover the quant and reasoning sections.
