What is the SNAP 2026 Syllabus?

The SNAP syllabus is the list of subjects and topics from which questions are set in the Symbiosis National Aptitude Test. SNAP is a 60-minute Computer-Based Test with 60 MCQs, carrying +1 for each correct answer and –0.25 for each wrong answer. The questions are spread across three sections that test verbal ability, reasoning and quantitative aptitude. There is no fixed prescribed academic syllabus; questions are aptitude-based and broadly cover the topics listed below.

SNAP 2026 Section-wise Syllabus

The SNAP 2026 syllabus is divided into three sections. The important topics under each section are:

  • General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability, Vocabulary, Synonyms & Antonyms, Idioms & Phrases, Sentence Correction, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks and Grammar.
  • Analytical & Logical Reasoning: Series, Analogy, Blood Relations, Coding-Decoding, Seating Arrangement, Syllogisms, Direction Sense, Puzzles, Critical Reasoning, and Visual/Non-verbal Reasoning.
  • Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency: Arithmetic (Percentage, Ratio, Profit & Loss, Time & Work, Time-Speed-Distance), Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Number System, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Data Interpretation (tables, charts, graphs) and Data Sufficiency.

Follow these tips to prepare effectively for the SNAP syllabus:

  • Build a strong base in each section by completing the theory first, then practising topic-wise questions.
  • Since reasoning carries the highest weightage, devote extra time to puzzles, arrangements and critical reasoning.
  • Read editorials and articles daily to improve reading comprehension and vocabulary for the General English section.
  • Practise mental maths and shortcuts to solve quant and DI questions quickly within the 60-minute limit.
