Telangana NEET Counselling 2026: Mop-Up Round, Merit List, Fee, Seats

Telangana NEET Counselling 2026 is the state counselling for MBBS and BDS seats in Telangana, run by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Warangal, on NEET UG 2026 ranks. It fills Competent Authority Quota and Management Quota seats. MBBS phases 1 and 2 are over, and mop-up web options are open until 14 October 2026.

Telangana NEET Counselling 2026 Important Dates

MBBS and BDS phases 1 and 2 of the 2026 Competent Authority Quota counselling are over, and MBBS mop-up web options close at 5:00 PM on 14 October 2026. KNRUHS has not announced the mop-up allotment date or a BDS mop-up yet. The 2027 counselling is expected around August 2027, after the NEET UG 2027 result.

Which seats are filled through Telangana NEET counselling?

KNRUHS fills all MBBS and BDS seats in its affiliated colleges except the 15% All India Quota of government colleges. Competent Authority Quota and Management Quota have separate registrations and merit lists.

For All India Quota and central seats, register separately in MCC NEET counselling. Candidates admitted through MCC up to its third round cannot give options in the Telangana MBBS mop-up.

How to apply for Telangana NEET Counselling 2026?

You register once on the TS MBBS/BDS admissions portal and upload your certificates; the same registration is used for every phase. Web options are then given separately for MBBS and BDS in each phase.

1. Open the TS MBBS/BDS admissions portal during the registration window. In 2026, it ran from 6:00 AM on 5 August to 6:00 PM on 12 August, and reopened from 18 to 20 August.
2. Complete mobile and email registration, then fill the candidate registration form with your NEET UG 2026 details, local status and category.
3. Pay the registration and processing fee online by debit card, credit card or net banking.
4. Upload scanned original certificates as PDF files (up to 500 KB each), your photo and signature (JPG, up to 100 KB). Use a desktop or laptop.
5. Check the provisional and final merit lists on the KNRUHS website, and answer any query from the verification officer on the portal.
6. When each phase opens, give web options for MBBS on this portal and for BDS on the BDS web options portal. After allotment, pay the University fee, download the allotment order and report to the college.

The registration fee and the University fee are not refunded. A double payment refund is claimed only by email to [email protected] and is paid after admissions close.

How to log in to the KNRUHS MBBS/BDS web options portal?

You log in to give or change web options in each phase, print your saved options and check your allotment.

1. Open the official login page and select Web Options. For BDS, use the BDS portal.
2. Read the instructions and select I Understood.
3. Enter your NEET roll number, NEET rank, registered mobile number and the registration number of your TS NEET application.
4. Request the login OTP and enter it in capital letters.
5. Add colleges in your order of preference, save them with the second OTP sent by SMS, and print the saved options.

Who can apply for Telangana NEET Counselling 2026?

You must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and be a Telangana local candidate for Competent Authority Quota seats. The 2026 registration notification sets these rules.

• Indian national, or a PIO or OCI cardholder whose status was issued before 4 March 2021.
• NEET UG 2026 score at or above the cut-off: 213 (General and EWS), 194 (General and EWS with disability), 177 (SC, ST and BC, including disability).
• Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English: at least 50% in science subjects for OC and EWS, 40% for BC, SC and ST, and 45% for OC and EWS with disability.
• At least 17 years old on 31 December 2026.
• Local candidate: studied in Telangana for 4 consecutive academic years ending with the year of the qualifying exam, or, if not studying, lived in Telangana for 4 years before it and wrote the qualifying exam in Telangana.
• Study outside Telangana is allowed for children of Telangana Government employees, Telangana-cadre IAS, IPS and IFS officers, defence and CAPF personnel with a Telangana hometown, and employees of Telangana Government bodies posted outside, with an employment certificate.

Which categories and special quotas apply in Telangana MBBS counselling?

Competent Authority Quota seats are reserved by community and special category, and the seat matrix shows separate general and female seats in each category.

• Communities: OC, BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, BC-E, SC Group I, SC Group II, SC Group III, ST and EWS.
• BC candidates need a Telangana BC-A to BC-E certificate; a central OBC certificate is not accepted for state quota.
• SC candidates need a caste certificate that names the SC sub-group.
• Special categories: persons with disability (PWD), NCC, Children of Armed Personnel (CAP), Police Martyrs Children (PMC) and Anglo-Indian.
• SCCL quota for children of Singareni Collieries employees at Government Medical College, Ramagundam (Singareni Institute of Medical Sciences).
• Competent Authority Quota seats in minority medical colleges go to Muslim minority candidates only. Management Quota has no community or special category reservation.

How do the counselling phases, sliding and free exit work?

Seats are allotted phase by phase in merit order, and each phase has its own web options window.

• If you did not give web options in phase 1, you cannot give options in any later phase.
• There is no limit on the number of options. Give options for every college you would join, even if it shows no vacancy, because seats open up when others slide.
• If you get a seat in a later phase, your earlier seat is cancelled automatically, so choose carefully.
• Candidates admitted up to MBBS phase 2 could leave without penalty until 2:00 PM on 8 October 2026, but those who left cannot join later phases.
• After the mop-up phase, admitted candidates cannot discontinue. Leaving, or not joining an allotted mop-up seat, means a penalty of Rs 20 lakh and a 3-year ban from MBBS admission through KNRUHS.
• Original certificates are checked finally at the allotted college; any mismatch cancels the allotment.

How does Telangana MBBS management quota admission work?

Management Quota (B and C/NRI categories) in private colleges has its own KNRUHS registration, merit list and web options.

• Registration is on the management quota portal. In 2026, it ran from 6:00 AM on 13 August to 6:00 PM on 20 August.
• The registration and processing fee is Rs 12,000, plus bank charges.
• Candidates who registered for Competent Authority Quota can also apply.
• B category: 85% of seats are for Telangana local candidates and 15% are open to all; at Neelima Institute of Medical Sciences, 25% are for local candidates.
• C category (NRI): open to candidates from anywhere who choose the NRI category in the form.
• Tuition fees in private colleges follow G.O.Ms.No. 98 of 7 August 2026.

What documents do you need for Telangana NEET counselling?

Upload these at registration and take the originals with one set of self-attested copies when you join the college.

• NEET UG 2026 scorecard
• Class 10 (SSC) marks memo as birth date proof, and Intermediate or Class 12 marks memo (a grade certificate alone is not accepted)
• Study certificates for Class 9 to 12, or a residence certificate for 4 years if you did not study in an institution
• Transfer certificate of Intermediate or Class 12
• Community certificate issued online by the Telangana revenue authority, if claimed
• EWS income and asset certificate for 2026-27, issued by the Tahsildar on or after 1 April 2026, if claimed
• Minority, NCC, CAP, PMC, SCCL or Anglo-Indian certificate, if claimed
• Employment certificate of a parent, if you studied outside Telangana under the exceptions
• Aadhaar card, recent passport size photo and signature
• At joining: printed application form, allotment order and bonds
