IIT Bombay has published UCEED 2019 Result. The candidates can check the result online from the UCEED official website by entering their Email id and Password. The Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is a national level entrance exam. UCEED 2019 was held on January 19, 2019. The candidates are offered admission in B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati and IIITDM Jabalpur on the basis score obtained in the entrance test. UCEED 2019 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). It is a computer-based test which consists of Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). The exam conducting body had added 05 new test centers for UCEED 2019. The new test centers are Bhopal, Dehradun, Ernakulum, Goa, and Kozhikode. Candidates can check the complete schedule UCEED 2019 from the table given below:

UCEED 2019 Answer Key
The answer key for UCEED 2019 has been published online in the pdf format. The candidates should download it and start cross-checking the answers. To calculate the marks using the answer key, the candidates should add and deduct marks as per the marking scheme only. Also, you will get answer sheets by logging into the Candidate portal. The candidates should download it and use it only to know your responses/answer.
Furthermore, you can also submit objection(s) in the UCEED Answer Key, if there is any, through online mode only. On the basis of the objection submitted by the candidate, the exam conducting body will then publish a final answer key. Also, you will get answer sheets by logging into the Candidate portal.
UCEED 2019 Admit Card
The registered candidates can download their Admit Card for UCEED 2019. No printed admit card is going to be sent to the candidates by post. To download it, you need to log in online by entering the necessary login details which are Email ID and Password. The UCEED 2019 Admit Card will consist of details such as Name of the candidate, Category, exam date, timings, venue, etc. It is mandatory for the candidates to bring the print out of the UCEED Admit Card.
You must carry only the hard copy of the UCEED Admit Card on the day of the test. Furthermore, other than the Admit card, do not bring any other item inside the test center. The candidates must ensure that the details in the Admit card are correct. If there is an error in it, they can get it corrected before January 05, 2019.
UCEED 2019 Mock Test
Mock test will help the candidate to check the level of preparation. It helps in track progress with instant answer evaluation. Candidate can know the environment of the exam and how to marks the answer in the exam. Sometimes a candidate may find difficult in evaluating their marks after taking a test, but in mock test, accurate and fair evaluation is done. Candidate should solve 3-5 mock test on the weekly basis.

UCEED 2019 Exam Pattern
UCCED 2019 is a computer-based test which shall be conducted in a single session only. The test will be of total of 03 hours duration and the medium of the test will be in English language only. The paper will consist of total 300 questions. The question paper will be divided into 3 different sections which are as follows:
Section A: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions
In this section, the candidates need to answer the questions using a virtual keyboard present on the computer screen. For example, if a question is “10+2=” then the candidates need to enter 12 using the virtual keyboard. For every correct answer, you will get 04 marks and there will be no negative marking.
Section B: Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
In this section, the candidates will get Four options and there could be more than one or more correct options. You will get 04 marks for a correct answer and there will be no negative marking for an incorrect answer. Note that even if you answer one correct and one wrong answer, it will be considered as an incorrect answer. No Partial marks will be given such case.
Section C: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
In this, the candidates will get Four choices, out of which they need to choose only one correct option. Each question will have 4 choices, from which a candidate has to select a single option. Candidates will be awarded 3 marks for every correct answer and -1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

UCEED 2019 Syllabus
UCEED exam paper will contain question from the following topics:
Visualization and spatial ability:
- Candidates should have knowledge about pictorial and diagrammatic questions,
- They should have knowledge of transformation or manipulation of 2D shapes and 3D objects and their spatial relationship.
- They should have knowledge about practical and everyday mechanic and scientific concepts.
Observation and design sensitivity:
- Candidates should have the ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things, people, situations, events, and the ability to think critically about them.
- They should have knowledge of how to give attention to analyzing, reasoning, classifying, predicting and inferring.
- They should possess an ability to discern slight differences in visual properties and aesthetic outcomes.
Environmental and social awareness:
- Candidates should have General Awareness about climate, population, water, vegetation, pollution etc. and their impact on the design of products, images, infrastructure, and environment.
- They should have knowledge about the history of art, sculpture, and literature.
- They should have awareness of social, cultural connection with the design, history of designed artifact and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design and responses.
Analytical and logical reasoning:
- Candidates preparing for this section should have the ability to look at information either it is qualitative or quantitative and discerns patterns within the information.
- They should have the ability to weigh opinions, arguments or solutions against appropriate criteria.
- They should have the ability to check hidden bias or assumptions and whether the evidence and argument support conclusions.
- They should have the ability to use logic and structure thinking to deduce from the short passage.
- They should have knowledge of Data Interpretation, Brainteasers and Patterns.
Language and creativity:
- If candidates have to attempt questions from this sections then they must have an ability to understand the standard and basic English, should have knowledge about basic grammar skills, articles, verbs, and vocabulary skills.
- They must an additional quality to think outside of the box and analyze things critically.
Design thinking and problem-solving:
- Candidates should have the ability to use analogies, metaphors, symbols, and signs.
- They must understand the complexity, should identify problems, generate alternatives for the problems and should know how to evaluate options and how to select their options.
How to Prepare for UCEED 2019?
UCEED is not like other entrance exams which are conducted in India. For example- the shortlisting of candidates is done on the basis of their knowledge and understanding of a certain topic, whereas, the shortlisting of candidates in UCEED is also done on the basis of the knowledge but there are other criteria which are also considered like creativity, ability to think out of the box. UCEED 2019 Question Paper
The exam conducting also publishes the question paper along with the answer key. The candidates who appeared for the entrance exam can download the question paper to cross check the answer. UCEED 2019 Result
The UCEED 2019 Result has been released on the official website of UCEED. To check the results candidates need to log in by entering details such as Email Id and Password. The candidates can also download their scorecard for UCEED 2019. A rank list will also be published online, which will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate. Candidates can check the UCEED 2019 Result from the official website or through the link provided bu us.
UCEED 2019 Cut Off
To pass the entrance test and to be considered to be included in the Rank List, the candidates need to obtain minimum marks in each section. The cutoff marks for UCEED 2019 are not yet available, however, will be updated here as soon as the Information brochure for the academic session.
Till then the candidates can check the previous year cut off marks to get an idea of the level of competition and set their goals accordingly.

UCEED 2019 Reservation Policy
UCEED committee has distributed the seat course wise for the candidate of all category. Candidates can check the information given in the table given below to check the seat reservation:

UCEED 2019 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who wish to appear for the entrance test should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria as given below.
Age Limit Criteria
According to the previous year age criteria the candidate should have born on or after October 01, 1994 for OPEN or OBC-NCL category. 5 years of relaxation will be provided to the candidates born on or after October 01, 1989 for SC, ST or PWD category.
Number of Attempts
Candidate can appear for UCEED maximum two times in a consecutive year. The score of UCEED will be valid for a year, and only for the students seeking admission in the corresponding academic year.
Candidate should have passed in the qualifying exam class 12 or equivalent in the year 2018 or appearing in 2019. Students of all stream are eligible.
UCEED 2019 Application Form
The application form for UCEED 2019 is available online at uceed.iitb.ac.in. The aspirants can apply for UCEED 2019 through online mode only. To apply for the exam, the aspirants need to register by entering their personal information. Once the registration process is over, you will receive the login credentials. In the UCEED 2019 Application Form, the candidates need to enter details such as educational qualification details, contact details, etc. Also, you need to upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature, qualifying exam certificate, etc.
To finally submit the application form, the aspirants need to pay a requisite amount of the application fee. The candidates can pay the fee by online mode. The last and final thing to do is to take a print out of the completed application form for future reference.

Admission Process for B.Des Programme
Only those who qualify the UCEED 2019 are eligible to apply for admission to the B. Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIITDM Jabalpur. These three (03 ) institutes will have a common application form for admissions to their respective B. Des programmes. The common application form shall be available at the IIT Bombay Admissions Portal. The candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria to apply for admission in the B.Des programme. Eligibility Criteria for Applying for B.Des
- The candidates must be born on or after October 01, 1993 for OPEN or OBC-NCL category.
- And 5 years age relaxation i.e. candidate should be born on or after October 01, 1988 for SC, ST or PWD category.
- Candidate must qualify UCEED 2019 entrance exam.
- Candidate should have passed in the qualifying exam class 12 or equivalent in the year 2018 or appearing in 2019. Students of all stream are eligible.
- Candidate should ensure all the part of their qualifying exam (class 12 or equivalent) are completed by the date of seat acceptance in the respective admitting institute.
Note: Candidate from science stream with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) can apply for all three Institutes, whereas, the candidate of other streams( science without PCM, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities) can apply for IIT Bombay and IIIT DM Jabalpur.
Application Form for B.Des Admission 2019
Candidate qualifying in UCEED 2019 is eligible to apply for the admission to B.Des programme at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIITD Jabalpur. The aspirants need to fill out their Personal Details and select institutes of their choice by indicating the order of preference. To submit the UCEED Application Form, you need to submit the requisite amount of the application fee, upload scanned images of the relevant supporting documents and uploading the signed copy of the completed application form.
Documents required for applying for the admission
Scanned copies of the following documents are required
- UCEED score card
- Qualifying Examination Marks sheet (class 12 or equivalent)
- OBC-NCL certificate
- SC/ST certificate
- PwD certificate
- OCI/ PIO card
The application fee for all categories and gender is Rs.1000/- as per the data of the previous year.
The exam conducting body shall conduct three rounds of seat allotment. The candidates will be allotted a seat on the basis of UCEED rank, category and choice of institutes. The selected candidates will then receive a provisional allotment letter via their registered email. If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted, he/she shall have to pay an amount of Rs. 60000/- (for open/ OBC-NCL candidates) and in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates need to pay Rs. 15,000 to accept the seat. The candidates who are not allotted seat in the First round of counseling, can appear for the subsequent round.
