UP NEET PG Counselling 2026 Important Dates
DGME UP has not yet announced the UP dates for MD, MS and Diploma seats, but MCC’s national schedule fixes state Round 1 for 21 October to 2 November 2026, with joining by 10 November 2026. MDS counselling started in August 2026 and is on hold since 9 October 2026.

Which seats are filled through UP NEET PG counselling?
DGME UP fills the state quota PG seats of Uttar Pradesh government medical and dental colleges and the PG seats of private colleges in the state. The All India Quota seats of government colleges, and seats in central and deemed universities, are filled by MCC.
- Courses: MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB on NEET PG 2026, and MDS on NEET MDS 2026.
- MDS counselling runs on its own schedule, ahead of MD/MS. Its 2026 rounds began on 21 August 2026.
- For All India Quota and deemed university seats, register separately in MCC NEET PG counselling. MCC Round 1 runs from 12 to 24 October 2026.

How to register for UP NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You register online on upneet.gov.in with your NEET PG or NEET MDS roll number, pay the registration fee and the security fee, and then fill and lock choices in each round. Only registered candidates who pay are placed on the UP state merit list.
Apply Online for UP NEET PG Counselling 2026
The UP NEET PG Counselling 2026 application window (21 to 31 August 2026, 11:00 AM (21 Aug) to 2:00 PM (31 Aug)) has closed.
- Open the UP NEET counselling portal and choose the PG registration link once it is live for MD/MS (the MDS links are listed separately).
- Register with your NEET PG 2026 roll number and the email ID you used on the NBEMS portal, and create a password.
- Fill in your details in the online form and submit it.
- Pay the Rs 3,000 registration fee online and download your registration slip.
- Check your name and rank on the UP state merit list.
- Pay the security fee for the college types you want, then fill and lock your choices before the deadline of the round.

Who can apply for UP NEET PG Counselling 2026?
You can apply if you qualified NEET PG 2026 (or NEET MDS 2026 for MDS) and meet the UP brochure conditions below.
- Internship completed by 30 September 2026 for MD, MS, Diploma and DNB, and by 31 May 2026 for MDS.
- MBBS or BDS from a government or private college in Uttar Pradesh: eligible for government state quota seats and private college seats.
- Graduates of AMU, BHU, AIIMS Raebareli, AIIMS Gorakhpur and of colleges outside Uttar Pradesh: eligible for private college seats only.
- Reservation and in-service (PMHS) weightage apply as per Uttar Pradesh government policy.
- A service bond applies to admitted candidates as set out in the brochure. Read it before you lock choices.
How do the UP NEET PG counselling rounds work?
Seats are allotted online in rounds, on your UP state merit rank, your category and the choices you lock.
- One registration and one Rs 3,000 fee cover Rounds 1, 2 and 3.
- Each round has its own choice filling window and seat allotment result, published on upneet.gov.in.
- Allotted candidates download the allotment letter and report to the college with original documents and fees by the last joining date.
- Seats left after Round 3 go to a stray vacancy round, which needs fresh registration and a fresh fee.
- DGME UP publishes a tentative seat matrix for each round and the fee structure of private colleges on upneet.gov.in.
