SAAT 2017 is the SOA University Admission Test. Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University SAAT 2017 will be held as per schedule which will be announced later in 72 centres (last year) across 50 cities (last year) in India. Performance in this written test with multiple choice questions will determine SAAT 2017 result, based on which admissions will be done through open counselling. This is the ninth time that the SAAT exam is being organized by SOA University, a deemed to be university accredited by NAAC with A grade.

The test is primarily a multiple choice type written test and the standard of the test is comparable with any other national level entrance test.
Short listed candidates will be called to attend an open counselling for admission into various programmes of the university. Another feature of this entrance test is that the candidates with diploma in engineering/ technology/ pharmacy and hotel management are eligible for admission into regular courses under lateral entry scheme through SAAT 2017.
The Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University offers undergraduate, post graduate, dual degree and lateral Entry programmes in engineering / technology, computer application, sciences, humanities & social sciences, medicine, dental, nursing, business administration, hotel management and catering technology, hospital administration, pharmacy, biotechnology and law.

Last year the Examination timing of SAAT was as follows.

12.00 Noon to 1.00PM – Mathematics
2.30 PM to 4.30 PM – Biology /All Lateral Entries /Post Basic Nursing /M.Tech. / M.Pharm. /M.Sc. Nursing/BA LLB / BBA LLB /BBA
There will be multiple choice questions. The number of questions will be sixty (60) per each hour of examination. Each question shall have four probable answers with only one is correct answer; and the examinee shall have to blacken only the correct circle with HB pencil or black / blue ballpoint pen. Each correct answer shall carry four marks whereas each incorrect answer will lead to deduction of one mark. Each unanswered question will carry zero mark. If more than one circle is darkened for one question, it will be treated as an incorrect answer and one mark will be deducted.
SAAT 2017 Eligibility for UG Courses

The eligibility criteria for SOA University Admission Test (Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test – SAAT 2017) for various UG courses is given below.
Eligibility for B.Tech. / Dual Degree in Engineering / Dual Degree in Management
Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects alongwith one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Computer Science / Information Technology /Biotechnology / Biology / Informatics / Statistics or any other subject as approved by appropriate authority, by securing atleast 50% marks taken together in the subjects mentioned.
Pass in Diploma in Engineering / Technology with less than 60% marks in aggregate.
MBBS / BDS Admission Eligibility
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2017) or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have secured a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Other Backward Classes the marks secured in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. For PH candidates qualifying examination marks is 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For SC / ST / OBC candidates the limit is minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For PH candidates the limit is minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English.
Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years as on 31.12.2017. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for SC and ST candidates.
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2017) with passs mark in individual subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology.
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2017) in any discipline with atleast 45% marks (40% incase of SC / ST / OBC category)
B.Sc. in Agriculture
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (2017) with not less than 50% marks in aggregate for admission under General and OBC categories, 40% marks in aggregate for admission under SC, ST and PH categories, with PCM/PCB/PCMB/PCA/PCH subject combinations. Pass in English in the 10+2 examination is essential.
Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 23 years as on 31.12.2017.
B.Sc. in Nursing (Basic)
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2017) with at least 45% marks in aggregate (English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together) and 40% marks in aggregate for SC / ST / OBC candidates.
Age Limit : The lower age limit is 17 years as on 31.12.2017.
Post Basic B.Sc. in Nursing (Post Basic)
Passed GNM examination, and registered with concerned State Nursing Council. Candidate must be a member of TNAI.
Five years integrated BBA LLB Honours Programme
Pass or appearing (2017) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with atleast 45% marks. Relaxable to 40% in case of SC/ST. Candidate should not have completed 20 years of age as on 1st August of current year.
Pass or appearing (2017) the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream.

The eligibility criteria for SOA University Admission Test (Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test – SAAT 2017) for various PG courses is given below.
Pass or appearing in B.E. / B.Tech / AMIE /MCA/M.Sc. in the respective discipline or equivalent. Candidates having MCA and M.Sc. (Maths) degree are eligible for M.Tech in Comp. Sc. & Data Processing. Candidates with M.Sc. (Electronics) are eligible for M.Tech. in Electronics & Communication Engineering and M.Tech. in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering. M.Sc. in Computer Science and IT are eligible for M.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering and CS & IT respectively. A candidate with B.Tech. (Environmental / Chemical / Civil / Mechanical / Metallurgy) or M.Sc. (Environmental Science / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Geology / Life Science / Botany / Zoology) is eligible for M.Tech. in Environmental Science & Technology. For M.Tech. Material Science & Technology candidate must have M.Sc. (Physics) / M.Sc. (Chemistry) / B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication Engg.) / B.Tech (Electrical Engg.)
For M.Tech. in Biotechnology, candidates having B.Tech./B.E. in Biotechnology or related fields / M.Sc. in Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Life Science or equivalent / MBBS / B.Pharm./B.V.Sc. with Biology as a subject at +2 level are eligible.
For admission to M.Tech, candidates have to pass the qualifying examination with atleast 50% marks.
Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at three year Bachelor Degree in any discipline from any recognised University with atleast 50% of marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC Category) having Mathematics at 10+2 level or at +3 level.
MBA/ MHMCT/ MHA / MHTM
Pass or appearing (2017) Bachelor Degree in Science, Commerce and Arts/B.E./B.Tech./MBBS/ B.Pharm./B.Sc. Agri./BVSC/BHMS/BAMS/BDS/BPT/ BHMCT/BBA/BCA examination or equivalent in 2017 from any recognised University with atleast 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/OBC category). For MHM the candidate must have secured atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC Category) in BHMCT.
Pass or appearing (2017) at B.Pharm examination from any recognized University with atleast 55% marks for general candidates and 50% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
M.Sc. All (Biotechnology / Nano Science & Nano Technology / Medicinal & Aromatic Plants / Molecular Biology / Chemical Biology & Drug Design)
For M.Sc. Biotechnology / Nano Science & Nano Technology / Medicinal & Aromatic Plants / Molecular Biology pass or appearing (2017) at three year Bachelor degree in Science OR four year Bachelor course in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Veterinary / Engineering / Technology / Medicine (MBBS/BDS) / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics from any recongnised University with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).
For M.Sc. in Chemical Biology & Drug Design the candidates should have B.Sc. Chemistry (Honours) / B.Tech in Chemical Engineering / B.Pharm with atleast 50% marks (45% incase of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category).
M.Sc. in Nursing
Passed B.Sc. Nursing (Basic/Post Basic) Degree with 55% aggregate from an Institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council with a minimum of one year experience either in teaching or clinical area but they should be registered in State Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
LLM: Pass or appearing Bachelor Degree in Law or studied Integrated Law Course or equivalent thereof, from any recognized University, securing 50% Marks in aggregate.

Admission to 2nd year Degree Programme in Engineering, Pharmacy & Hotel Management for Diploma holders
Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) at three year diploma course in Engineering / Pharmacy and Hotel Management respectively with at least 60% marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (SCTE&VT), Odisha or equivalent.
For Pharmacy, pass or appearing (in the year 2017) in D.Pharma from an institution approved by PCI under Sec. 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Lateral Entry MCA
Pass or appearing (in the year 2017) in three year Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), B.Sc. in Information Technology and B.Sc. in Computer Science with atleast 60% of marks in aggregate from any recognized University.

MBBS / BDS Admission 2017
Admission to MBBS/BDS Program for the academic year 2017-18 is expected to be done on the basis of marks obtained in the NEET 2017 for this year also.
The candidates who desires to take admission in constituent instiutes of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University need to apply online for MBBS / BDS course along with All India Rank, Percentile of marks obtained in NEET 2017 and qualifying mark (Physics, chemistry, Biology & English) in 10+2 level. The merit list of the candidates, who have applied to the constituent institutes of the University, will be prepared on the basis of all India Overall and category rank obtained in NEET 2017. The selection will be done on the basis of merit and eligibility of candidates applied for counselling.
