B.Tech candidates are tested on 10+2 level Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, while law, management, nursing and PG candidates get their own sections. SOA has not released the 2027 syllabus yet; the topics below are from the official SAAT 2026 syllabus dated 1 December 2025.

What is the SAAT 2027 syllabus for B.Tech?
The B.Tech paper has 60 questions: 20 each from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, at the 10+2 level.

What is the SAAT 2027 syllabus for B.Pharm and B.Sc Agriculture?
B.Pharm and B.Sc Agriculture candidates answer 20 questions each in Physics and Chemistry, and 20 in Biology or Mathematics. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics follow the same units as B.Tech.
- Botany: plant cell, plant tissues and anatomy, morphology and taxonomy of flowering plants, genetics, microorganisms, plant processes, environmental biology, crop plants and plant diseases, genetic engineering and biotechnology.
- Zoology: animal classification, protozoa and non-chordates, animal tissues, locomotion, respiration, digestion, circulation, excretion, control and coordination, reproduction, genetics and evolution.
What is the SAAT 2027 syllabus for B.Sc Nursing?
The B.Sc Nursing paper has five sections of 12 questions each: Aptitude for Nursing, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. Physics and Chemistry follow the units listed for B.Tech, and Biology covers the Botany and Zoology units above.
What are the SAAT 2027 sections for other programmes?

- MCA: Mathematics (algebra, matrices, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, calculus, probability and statistics) and Computer Awareness (computer basics, number systems, flow charts, algorithms and BASIC programming).

What is the SAAT 2027 lateral entry syllabus?
- B.Tech lateral entry: one paper common to all branches, covering Basic Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Engineering Mechanics.
- B.Pharm lateral entry: Part I of the Diploma in Pharmacy syllabus under the Pharmacy Council of India’s Education Regulations, 1991.
- BHMCT lateral entry: first, second and third year diploma syllabus approved by the Ministry of Tourism.
Where can you download the SAAT syllabus PDF?
SOA publishes one syllabus PDF for all programmes on the SAAT page of its admission website. The latest is the SAAT 2026 syllabus (official PDF), a 52-page file dated 1 December 2025. The 2026 PDF was issued just before Round 1 applications opened, so the 2027 syllabus is expected around December 2026.

How should you prepare for SAAT 2027?
- Download the syllabus for your programme and mark each unit; papers differ a lot between programmes.
- For B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Agriculture and nursing, revise your 10+2 textbooks unit by unit.
- For law, BBA and management papers, read a newspaper daily for current affairs and practise reasoning and numerical aptitude sets.
- Lateral entry candidates should revise their diploma subjects listed for the paper.
- Practise under time limits, and check the duration and marking on your admit card or the official instructions.
