AILET 2027 Logical Reasoning Syllabus
Logical Reasoning carries 70 of the 150 marks, the most of any section. NLU Delhi says it may use legal principles to test reasoning, but no legal knowledge is needed.
- Critical reasoning: assumptions, conclusions, inferences, strengthening and weakening arguments
- Analytical reasoning: arrangements, ordering and ranking, puzzles
- Syllogisms, statement and argument, cause and effect
- Coding-decoding, blood relations, direction sense and series
- Questions that apply a given legal principle to a set of facts

The LL.M. paper has 100 multiple-choice questions, all from different branches of law. Prepare the core LLB subjects:

What is the AILET 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
Both AILET 2027 papers run for 120 minutes on OMR sheets, with 1 mark for a correct answer and 0.25 mark cut for a wrong one.

How to Prepare for the AILET 2027 Syllabus
- Give Logical Reasoning the most time, since it carries 70 marks. Practise critical reasoning passages daily.
- Read one newspaper every day and keep short monthly notes for current affairs.
- Practise reading comprehension under time pressure to build speed for the passage-based English section.
- Solve AILET previous year question papers in 2 hours with negative marking applied.
- Analyse each mock or past paper, list your weak topics and revise them before the next one.
- Spend the last two weeks before 13 December 2026 on revision and full-length tests only.
