AP PGCET 2027 (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Entrance Test) is the state test for admission to M.A., M.Com, M.Sc, M.Ed, M.P.Ed and other PG courses in 17 state universities of Andhra Pradesh and their colleges. A state university conducts it for APSCHE; Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati ran the 2026 test. AP PGCET 2027 is expected in May 2027.

AP PGCET 2027 Important Dates
APSCHE has not announced the AP PGCET 2027 schedule yet. In 2026 the notification came on 7 February and the tests were held from 8 to 11 May, so the 2027 notification is expected in February and the exam in May 2027.

How to Apply for AP PGCET 2027
You apply for AP PGCET 2027 online at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/PGCET once the notification is out. There is no offline form. You register and pay first, then log in to fill in the application. If you are eligible for more than one subject test, you can write them all by paying the fee for each test.
Apply Online for AP PGCET 2027
Applications for AP PGCET 2027 are expected in February 2027.
- Read the instruction booklet and the Test and Course Codes list to find the test that leads to the PG course you want.
- Register on cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/PGCET with your basic details and the number of tests, and pay the fee through the APOnline gateway (credit card, debit card or net banking).
- Note the Registration ID you get after payment. You need it to log in and at every later step.
- Log in with your Registration ID, registered mobile number and date of birth, and fill in the application.
- Upload your photo and signature, and enter caste, income or EWS certificate details and your Aadhaar number where they apply.
- Check the preview, submit the form and print a copy for your records.

In 2026 the last date without a late fee was 28 March. Late fees of Rs 1,000, Rs 2,000, Rs 4,000 and Rs 10,000 then applied in steps up to 9 April, and a one-day correction window followed on 10 April. Your name, date of birth, photo, signature, degree hall ticket number and community can be changed only by an e-mail request to the convener with scanned documents.
Who can apply for AP PGCET 2027?
You can apply if you have passed, or are in the final year of, the bachelor’s degree that your chosen PG course asks for. These rules are from the 2026 instruction booklet and may be revised for 2027.
- Nationality: Indian, meeting the local or non-local status rules of the Andhra Pradesh government.
- Degree: the undergraduate degree and subjects listed for the course in the instruction booklet. Rules can differ from one university to another.
- Final-year students can write the test, but must pass the degree before admissions begin.
- A degree done with a single subject through open or distance education is not accepted for PG courses.
- B.E., B.Tech, MBBS and other professional graduates are not eligible for many M.A. and language courses, so check the course list before you apply.
- There is no age limit.
Nobody checks your eligibility when you apply or write the test. It is checked only at admission, so a rank alone does not give you a seat if you do not meet the course rules.
Which AP PGCET test should I write?
AP PGCET is not one paper. The 2026 list had 31 subject tests in three groups, and the instruction booklet links every PG course to one test code.

Several courses can share one test. For example, M.A. Sociology, the MSW and the library science degree (M.L.I.Sc.) are all filled through the Humanities and Social Sciences test (code 111).
What is the AP PGCET 2027 exam pattern?
Every AP PGCET subject test is a 90-minute computer-based test of 100 multiple choice questions for 100 marks. The topics for each test are on the AP PGCET syllabus page.

To get a rank you need 35% of the marks, which is 35 out of 100. SC and ST candidates have no minimum mark. For M.P.Ed., up to 100 marks for sports achievements are added to the test marks, so that merit list is out of 200.
