BCECE 2019 (Cancelled)– The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has published a notification that BCECE 2019 will not be continued further for the admission in various Bihar colleges in the field of engineering, medical and agriculture. The Board will publish a merit list prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in JEE Main 2019 and NEET 2019. BCECE 2019 Notification
The BCECEB has published a notification in which it has been mentioned that it will publish merit list for admission to Engineering courses. The merit list is going to be prepared on the basis of candidate’s performance in JEE Main 2019.
What was BCECE?
BCECE is the key abbreviation of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board which used to be conducted for the purpose of granting the admission in various courses in Engineering, Medical, and Agriculture streams in Bihar State colleges. The entrance exam used to happen every year in different exam centres which used to be conducted by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) for the same.
Bihar Engineering Admission Through JEE Main
As per the recent notification, from now onwards Bihar Engineering Admissions will be taking place through JEE Main for the following academic year. The score secured in the JEE Main will be considered for the admission in the courses such as B.Tech in various fields. The January session for JEE Main is going on these days but candidates have another chance as well to appear in the April session.
Difference Between JEE Main and BCECE Syllabus
The syllabus for JEE Main and BCECE is almost similar for the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The candidates who were preparing for the BCECE entrance can continue with the same syllabus for JEE main for the April session. No topic out of the syllabus will be coming in the entrance examination. There are the chances that BCECEB will release a particular cut off list for the appearing candidates where the selection of the contenders will be based on the Ranking secured by them in the exam.

Bihar Medical Admissions Through NEET
The admission for various medical courses will be based on the score secured by the candidates in the NEET examination for the following academic year. As the registration for NEET 2019 has been closed for the candidates. There are some chances for releasing any other criteria of admission although candidates who will be appearing for NEET can apply for the same.
Difference Between NEET and BCECE Syllabus
The subjects from which the entrance exam will consist of the topics are Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. NEET is the examination for the students who want to pursue their career in the field of medical studies. The syllabus for NEET and BCECE contains the same topics in all three subjects. JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Examination which is conducted by NTA for the admission in various courses in engineering. It is a national level and the most important exam for those candidates who wish to pursue their career in engineering. As the January session for the JEE Main 2019 has been going on these days, candidates who did not appear in this session can apply for the Paper II which will happen in the month April.
NEET is the key abbreviation for National Eligibility Entrance Test which is also conducted by NTA for the admission in various courses in medical field. It is a national level examination for the candidates who want to take their career in the field of medical. The registration for NEET 2019 has been closed by the candidates as of now. BCECE 2019 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria as per the norms of the conducted body before filling the application form of BCECE 2019. Candidates can check the eligibility conditions listed below.
JEE Main and NEET
- Candidates who will appear in JEE Main or NEET examination will be eligible to fill the application form.
Nationality: Candidates must be an Indian national and should belong to Bihar State.
- For Engineering: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology and technical vocational as one of the optional subjects. Candidates should have scored at least 45% in the qualifying examination (40% in case of SC/ST candidates)
- For Pharmacy: Candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry as compulsory subjects and Mathematics, Biology and technical vocational as one of the optional subjects. Students must have scored 45% marks in the exam (for candidates belonging to SC/ST, they should have obtained at least 40% marks)
Age Limit: There are no minimum age criteria for Engineering / Pharmacy / Architecture.
- For Health Science: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on 31st Dec.
- For Agriculture: Candidates must have completed 16 years of age as on 31st Aug.
BCECE 2019 Application Form
Candidates who will be appearing for JEE Main and NEET are eligible to apply for the admission in the colleges of Bihar which are affiliated with BCECEB. The application form for BCECE 2019 will be available online at the official website of the Board. The aspirants need to register for the exam first, only after which they can proceed to fill in details in the BCECE Application Form 2019. At the time of BCECE Registration, the aspirants need to provide their valid Email ID and Mobile Number. Once the registration is done, the students need to fill in their Personal Details, Academic Qualification details, JEE Main or NEET score, etc in the BCECE 2019 Online Application Form.
Also, the aspirants will have to upload scanned images of their passport size photograph and signature in the Online Application Form. The BCECE Application Form 2019 shall be divided into two parts – Part A and Part B. The candidates need to complete both the parts of the application process and pay the required amount of the application fee.

Expected Mode of Payment: It is expected that the application process for BCECE 2019 shall be the same as last year. Hence, the aspirants may pay the above given Application Fee by either of the following modes:

BCECE 2019 Exam Centers
There will be no separate exam that will be conducted by BCECEB for the admission in Bihar colleges. The below exam centres are enlisted as per the last year trends.
BCECE 2019 Admit Card
There will be no admit card issued for the admission in Bihar colleges of engineering, medical and agriculture because of the cancellation of the BCECE entrance examination. Candidates are advised to preserve the JEE Main and NEET admit card as it shall be needed at the time of the counselling round. Admit card holds the same value in the admission process as same as the other documents at the time of verification also.
Old BCECE Exam Pattern
The below exam pattern is based as per the last year guidelines. Candidates can go through the exam pattern which used to followed by the BCECEB for the BCECE examination. The exam was conducted in one stage only.

BCECE 2019 Result
The result will be made available to the candidates on the official website. Candidates will have to use their login details to check the BCECE 2019 result. As the entrance exam has been cancelled so it is expected the board will release a particular merit list for the candidates who have registered themselves and the names shall be enlisted in the ascending order as per their ranking secured in the concerned entrances. Eligible candidates will be called for the further process of counseling and admission process. Candidates must note that result will not be sent them via post. It will only be available on the University website, www.bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. Candidates should keep a printed copy of the result as it will be required during the admission process.
BCECE 2019 Counselling
The counselling session will take place after the result declaration of JEE Main and NEET for the following academic year. There are some chances that the Board will release a particular cut off list in which candidates have to check if they have secured the minimum ranking to get qualified for the counselling round. In the counselling round, candidates will first have to fill the choices of the course and college in the Preference Form and as per the rank, they will be called for the counselling with required documents.
