The BCECE 2027 syllabus covers Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Agriculture at Class 12 (I.Sc.) level, as given in Appendix 1 of the BCECEB prospectus. You study only the subjects of your group. BCECEB calls it a guiding syllabus based on the Bihar Intermediate course. The 2027 prospectus is expected with the form in April 2027.

What does the BCECE 2027 syllabus include?
The syllabus has five subjects, and you study three or four of them depending on your group. It follows the Bihar Intermediate (I.Sc.) course of Classes 11 and 12.

What is in the BCECE Agriculture syllabus?
- Introductory agriculture and agrometeorology; soil as a medium of plant growth
- Plant breeding and genetics; agricultural engineering and farm implements
- Crop protection; animal husbandry, dairy and fish production
- Cultivation of crops, cropping systems, soil and water management, weed management
- Recent trends in agriculture and agricultural economics
- Horticulture: basic horticulture, fruit and vegetable production, flowers, medicinal and aromatic plants, preservation of fruits and vegetables
How are BCECE 2027 papers marked?
Each subject paper has 100 objective questions of 4 marks each, for 400 marks, in 1 hour 30 minutes. One mark is deducted for every wrong answer, so guessing can lower your score.
Your merit list rank comes from the total of your three group papers, for example Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the PCB merit list.

How to Prepare for BCECE 2027
- Finish the Class 11 and 12 NCERT or Bihar Board textbooks of your three subjects first.
- Practise objective questions daily, because every paper is MCQ-based.
- Answer only when you are fairly sure, since each wrong answer costs 1 mark.
- Time yourself: 100 questions in 90 minutes leaves under a minute per question.
- Revise formulas, reactions and diagrams in short notes.
