What does the PU CET UG 2027 syllabus cover?
The PU CET UG syllabus is the CBSE syllabus for Class 11 and Class 12 in the four test subjects. The 2026 prospectus named the CBSE syllabi of the 2023-25 session; the 2027 prospectus will name the session that applies.
You study only the subjects of your combination: Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB), Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), or Mathematics alone for B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics and Mathematics and Computing.

- Class 11: sets, relations and functions, trigonometric functions; complex numbers, linear inequalities, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem, sequences and series; straight lines, conic sections, introduction to 3D geometry; limits and derivatives; statistics and probability

What is the PU CET UG 2027 exam pattern and marking scheme?
Every PU CET UG paper has 60 questions worth 2 marks each, so each paper is out of 120. Your marks in a paper are worked out as (correct answers minus a quarter of wrong answers) multiplied by 2.

Each paper lasts 70 minutes and the test is in English only. Calculators are not allowed, but log tables are provided in the hall.
Where can you download the PU CET UG syllabus PDF?
Panjab University does not publish a separate syllabus PDF. The prospectus on cetug.puchd.ac.in states that the syllabus is the CBSE Class 11 and 12 syllabus and gives the paper scheme. The 2027 prospectus is expected with the test form in November 2026.

How should you prepare for PU CET UG 2027?
- Finish your NCERT Class 11 and 12 textbooks for each subject of your combination first.
- Practise 60 questions in 70 minutes, which leaves just over a minute per question.
- Skip questions you are unsure of: four wrong answers wipe out the marks of one correct answer.
- Practise calculations without a calculator, using log tables where needed.
- If you want B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics, give extra time to the Mathematics paper, as merit there is based on it alone with your 10+2 marks.
