PU CET UG previous year question papers (PUCET) for 2015 to 2019 and 2021 to 2026 are free to download here: 47 Panjab University booklets in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology (plus Biotechnology and Computer Science for 2015 and 2016), with the official answer key for every year from 2017. Each paper still has 60 questions for 120 marks in 70 minutes with −0.5 for a wrong answer, so even the older booklets match PU CET UG 2027, expected in May 2027.

What Changed in the PU CET UG Papers (2015–2026)
- 2015 and 2016: besides Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics (and Biology in 2016), the test had separate Biotechnology and Computer Science papers.
- 2017 onwards: the papers on this page are the four subjects of today’s test, each with Panjab University’s key. The 2019 key is headed Final.
- 2020: the test was cancelled because of COVID-19 and students were admitted on qualifying exam marks, so there is no 2020 paper.
- Every year: the booklet format of 60 questions, 120 marks and 70 minutes per paper has stayed the same.
How to Use PU CET UG Previous Year Papers?
- Time each paper at 70 minutes. That is 70 seconds a question. In 2026 the four papers ran back to back from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, so practise two papers in a row to build stamina.
- Guess only after ruling out options. With +2 and −0.5, a blind guess among four options averages just +0.125 marks. Ruling out one option raises that to about +0.33, and ruling out two to +0.75.
- Solve 2026 to 2021 first, then 2019 to 2017. All of them have keys, so you can score each paper exactly using the formula (correct minus a quarter of wrong) × 2.
- Expect a few dropped questions. Keys mark ambiguous questions with X and credit them to everyone. 2023 Mathematics had seven, so do not lose time on a question that looks misprinted.
- Practise without a calculator. Calculators are not allowed, so do all Physics and Chemistry numericals by hand, with log tables if needed.

What is the PU CET UG exam pattern?
Each paper (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology) has 60 multiple-choice questions of 2 marks each, so it is out of 120, and lasts 70 minutes. You take only the papers your combination needs: PCB, PCM or Mathematics alone.
Is there negative marking in PU CET UG?
Yes. A wrong answer loses 0.5 mark, a quarter of the question’s 2 marks. An unattempted question gets 0.
Which PU CET UG papers have answer keys or solutions?
Every year from 2017 to 2026 (no test in 2020) has Panjab University’s answer key for all four subjects. These are answer keys, not worked solutions. The 2015 and 2016 papers have no key.
Is there a PU CET UG 2020 question paper?
No. Panjab University cancelled the 2020 test because of COVID-19 and admitted students on qualifying exam marks.
Is the PU CET UG paper in Hindi?
No. The test is in English only.
What is the qualifying mark in PU CET UG?
You need at least 15% of the total marks to qualify (10% for SC, ST, BC and PwD). Qualifying makes you eligible to apply; seats go by merit.
