BCECE 2027 FAQs

Is BCECE used for MBBS or BDS admission?
No. BCECE covers nursing, paramedical, pharmacy, agriculture and allied degree courses. MBBS and BDS seats in Bihar are filled through NEET UG, not BCECE.
Can I get B.Tech admission through BCECE?
Only for seats left vacant. Bihar’s B.Tech seats are first filled in two online rounds from JEE Main. The seats still vacant are then filled from the BCECE PCM merit list in separate online counselling.
What is the PCMB group in BCECE?
PCMB candidates write all four papers: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. They can compete for both PCM and PCB courses, and pay a higher fee (Rs 1,100, or Rs 550 for SC, ST and DQ in 2026).
Who should choose the BCECE agriculture group?
Students who passed I.Sc. (Agriculture) choose CBA, PCA, MBA or MCA. Half of the state-quota seats in B.Sc Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry at Bihar Agricultural University are kept for this group.
Can students outside Bihar take BCECE?
Only if they meet a Bihar residence or parent-employment condition in the prospectus. Candidates who are not natives of Bihar cannot claim reserved category seats.
