Bihar NEET PG Counselling 2026 Important Dates

BCECEB has released the PGMAC-2026 schedule: choice filling, editing and locking for Rounds 1 and 2 runs from 22 October to 31 October 2026 (11:59 pm), and the Round 1 provisional seat allotment result is due on 4 November 2026.

Which seats are filled through Bihar PGMAC counselling?

PGMAC fills the Bihar state quota MD, MS, PG Diploma and DNB (Degree and Diploma) seats in Govt medical colleges and state DNB hospitals, plus MD and MS seats in private medical colleges. All India Quota seats go through MCC NEET PG counselling, which is a separate registration.

The seat matrix is posted on the BCECEB website before choice filling opens. Check the PGMAC-2026 seat matrix for this year’s list and seat counts.

How to apply for Bihar NEET PG Counselling 2026?

You will register online through the “Online portal of PGMAC-2026” link on bceceboard.bihar.gov.in once BCECEB issues the notice. The steps below follow the PGMAC-2025 notice.

1. Read the PGMAC-2026 notice and prospectus on the BCECEB website, and check the seat matrix.
2. Register with your NEET PG 2026 roll number, name and date of birth. An OTP goes to the mobile number and email you gave NBEMS, and you create a password. A PGMAC ID is generated.
3. Log in with your NEET PG roll number and password, and fill personal, contact, educational and other details. Upload your photo, signature and any documents asked for.
4. Preview the form, make final submission and pay the counselling fee and security deposit online (card, net banking or UPI).
5. Fill your choices of course and college in order of preference, then lock them. Unlocking needs your password and an OTP.
6. Download the confirmation page, fee receipt and your locked choices for document verification.

Your registered mobile number and email cannot be changed at any stage, so check them in your NEET PG application first. Payment problems can be raised on the helpdesk number 0612-2220230 given in the notice.

An online processing charge is added. These are 2025 amounts; check the PGMAC-2026 notice for this year’s fee.

Who can apply for Bihar PGMAC 2026?

You can apply if you qualified NEET PG 2026 and meet the eligibility rules in the PGMAC prospectus. The 2025 notice also set these points:

• Candidates are taken from the NEET PG merit list sent by NBEMS. Check your score on the NEET PG 2026 result page.
• Reserved category (BC, EBC, SC, ST) candidates who qualified NEET PG can take part for private college seats by choosing UR or EWS.
• Medical Officers who served in remote or difficult areas of Bihar can claim that reservation with a work experience certificate.
• NRI quota claimants upload their certificates for scrutiny; DQ (disability) candidates need a certificate from an authorised centre only.
• Bihar reservation rules apply; fill your category carefully, as it cannot be changed after the editing window.

How do the PGMAC rank card and seat allotment work?

BCECEB prepares a state Rank Card from NEET PG All India Rank for every candidate who applied and paid, and allots seats on merit-cum-choice.

• Rank Card: download it with your PGMAC ID and date of birth. It shows your NEET PG roll number and AIR, UR rank, category rank, and RCG and DQ ranks where they apply, for Degree and Diploma seats.
• Round 1: if you want a better seat later, choose upgradation “Yes” while downloading the provisional allotment order. You still report for document verification.
• Round 2 and Round 3: seats are re-allotted on upgradation and fresh choices. In 2025 a revised Round 1 result was issued on 28 November 2025.
• Stray vacancy round: for seats left at the end. In 2025 it ran from 22 to 28 February 2026.
• Document verification is physical, at the reporting centre. If you are allotted a seat in Round 2 and do not complete verification and admission, your security deposit is forfeited.

What documents are needed at PGMAC document verification?

Carry the originals of the documents that apply to you; the 2025 notice listed these:

• PGMAC Rank Card, confirmation page, check slip (2 copies), biometric identification report and 6 photographs
• NEET PG admit card and Aadhaar card
• MBBS mark sheets, passing certificate, internship completion certificate and medical registration certificate
• Matric certificate and college leaving certificate
• Residential, caste or EWS certificate
• No objection certificate from employer; in-service, remote-area service or DQ certificates, if claimed
