BCECEB PG Medical Admission Counselling 2017

Candidates seeking admission in MD / MS / PGD & MDS courses can apply online on the basis of list for appearing in the Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC) 2017 in order to select candidates for admission to the First Year of the following Post Graduate Degree/ Diploma Courses:

  • MD / MS / PG Diploma (PGD) Courses in Govt. Medical Colleges eg. Patna Medical College, Patna, Darbhanga Medical College, Darbhanga, Nalanda Medical College, Patna, A.N.M. Medical College, Gaya, J.L.N.M.C., Bhagalpur, S.K.M.C., Muzaffarpur and IGIMS Medical College, Patna for the session 2017.
  • MD / MS / PG Degree Courses in Private Medical Colleges eg. M.G.M.M.C., Kishanganj, K.M.C., Katihar, Narayan Medical College & Hospital, Sasaram for the session 2017.
  • MDS Course in Govt. Dental College eg. Patna Dental College, Patna and Private Dental Colleges eg. Mithila Minority Dental College & Hospital, Darbhanga, Buddha Institute of Dental Science & Hospital, Kankarbagh, Patna for the session 2017.

Revised Schedule for Second Counselling

The Second Counselling for admission to the First Year of PG Medical Degree / Diploma courses and PG Dental Courses of Govt. / Private Medical & Dental Colleges based on the merit / rank list of NEET-PG 2017 and NEET-MDS 2017 was scheduled to be conducted from 16.05.2017 to 20.05.2017 vide Adv. No. BCECEB (PGMAC)-2017/06 dt. 12.05.2017. But the same was postponed due to unavoidable reasons vide Adv. No. BCECEB (PGMAC)-2017/07 dt. 16.05.2017. The above postponed counselling is being rescheduled as under ;

The qualifying percentile for NEET-MDS 2017 for the academic session 2017-18 have been lowered as below:

  1. General UR – 42.5
  2. SC/ST/OBC (BC/EBC) – 32.5
  3. Persons with Disability – 37.5

The candidates who are qualified on the basis of NEET-PG 2017 & NEET-MDS 2017 and who have duly applied for the same in response to Adv. No.- BCECEB(PGMAC)-2017/01 Dated 29.03.2017 & Adv. No.- BCECEB(PGMAC)-2017/04 Dated 02.05.2017 are included in the counselling programme for allotment of MD / MS / PGD & MDS courses in Govt. / Private Medical & Dental colleges as per corresponding eligibility criteria.

The candidates who have duly applied in response to Adv. no. Adv. No.- BCECEB(PGMAC)-2017/01 dt. 29.03.2017 are also eligible for appearing in second counselling for admission against vacant seats in MD / MS / PGD & MDS course in Govt. / Private Medical Colleges / Dental Colleges of Bihar after admission on the basis of 1st Counselling as per Adv. no. Adv. No.- BCECEB(PGMAC)-2017/02 dt. 08.04.2017 and also AIQ surrendered seats.

The candidates who have duly applied in response to Adv. no. Adv. No.- BCECEB(PGMAC)-2017/03 & 04 dt. 02.05.2017 are eligible for appearing in second counselling for admission against vacant seats in MD/ MS & MDS courses in Private Medical / Private Dental Colleges of Bihar after admission on the basis of 1st Counselling.

Each candidate eligible as per para 2 above has to appear for counselling on the scheduled date alongwith already ‘online’ filled application form, the original certificates / documents and other required enclousres as per the prospectus of PGMAC-2017. After verification of certificates / documents/ identity the course / institution will be allotted merit / rank wise to eligible candidates as per prospectus of PGMAC-2017.

If a candidate is admitted in any Institution on the basis of 1st counselling held between 10.04.2017 to 15.04.2017 then he must submit the receipt of depositing admission fee and a Bonafide Certificate by the Principal of that Institution in the prescribed proforma uploaded on the Board’s Website www.bceceboard.com.

The PGMAC – ID of reserve category candidates who competed in General category have been included in General as well as their respective reserve categories. Therefore, reserve category candidates who are included in General Category must come for counselling on the date fixed for the same at their General Category merit serial for option of course / institution available in General category and then must come for counselling on the date fixed for allotment of Course / Institution available at their Reserve category merit serial.

The counselling programme and other terms & conditions for PG Medical / Dental courses in Govt. as well as Private Medical / Dental colleges will be available PGMAC – ID Merit wise on Board’s website from 11.05.2017 evening.

Rank Card of PGMAC-2017 for Govt. Medical / Dental Colleges and Private Medical / Dental Colleges will be uploaded on 11.05.2017 evening. Candidates must come with their Rank Card on the date of his counselling.

Online Registration 2017

Online applications on prescribed form are invited from interested candidates on the basis of the above-mentioned list for appearing in the Post Graduate Medical Admission Counselling (PGMAC) 2017.

BCECEB PGMAC 2017 Counselling Fee i.e. Rs. 2200/-

Self-attested photo copies of the following documents as required are to be submitted also with the Application Form of the time of counselling.

  • Board’s Copy of the Challan as proof of paying the required counselling fee.
  • Residential Certificate.
  • Caste Certificate
  • College leaving certificate
  • Rotatory Internship Completion Certificate
  • MBBS / BDS passing certificate
  • Mark sheets of MBBS (I, II & III Parts) & BDS (I, II & III Parts)
  • No objection certificate from employer
  • Medical Registration Certificate
  • Admit card of PG Medical Test i.e. NEET (PG)-2017 / NEET (MDS)-2017.
  • Three photographs identical to one used for preparing the Admit card of NEET (PG)-2017 / NEET (MDS)-2017.

Submission of the Application Form – The completed Application Form (Part-A filled in ‘Online’ and Part-B filled in manually) alongwith the required enclosures is to be submitted by hand personally at the time of counselling for due verification of eligibility and identity against the original certificates / documents as presented by the candidate at the time of counselling.

After due checking / verification and establishing the eligibility of the candidate appearing for the counselling, the Course / Institution will be allotted based on merit-cum-option.

Eligibility Criteria for MD / MS / PG Diploma Course

Educational:

  • The candidates must have passed the M.B.B.S. Examination from any Medical College of Bihar State included in the schedule of Medical Council of India.
  • The candidates who are permanent residents / domiciled of Bihar and have been admitted in MBBS course on the basis of competitive examination conducted on behalf of Govt. of Bihar or by CBSE (under All India Quota) before the bifurcation of Bihar i.e. 15.11.2000 in Medical Colleges situated in Jharkhand and have obtained the degree of MBBS are also eligible for nomination / allotment of a seat for admission in academic session 2017.
  • The candidates must have completed the rotating Internship before 31.03.2017 as per the provision contained in the Information Bulletin of NEET (PG)-2017.
  • The candidates must have obtained permanent Registration from Medical Council of India or Bihar State Medical Council.

Age Limit – There is no maximum age limit for appearing PG Medical Counselling 2017

Others: A candidate who is not a permanent resident of Bihar but has passed the M.B.B.S. Examination from any Medical College of Bihar State included in the Schedule of Medical Council of India, is also eligible.

Eligibility Criteria for MDS Diploma Course

Educational:

  • The candidates must have passed the BDS Examination from any recognised Dental College of Bihar State included in the schedule of Dental Council of India.
  • The candidates who are permanent residents of Bihar and have been admitted in BDS course on the basis of competitive examination conducted on behalf of Govt. of Bihar or by CBSE (under All India Quota) before the bifurcation of Bihar i.e. 15.11.2000 in Dental Colleges situated in Jharkhand and have obtained the degree of BDS are also eligible for appearing in this competitive examination for admission in academic session 2017 in this Course Group.
  • The candidates must have completed the rotating Internship before 31.03.2017 as per the provision contained in the Information bulletin of NEET(MDS)-2017.
  • The candidates must have obtained Registration from Bihar State Dental Council or Dental Council of India.

Selection & Admission Procedure

Merit List: Merit list of all the candidates as provided by the Deptt. of Health, Govt. of Bihar based on NEET (PG)- 2017 / NEET (MDS)-2017 will be basis for PG Medical Counselling 2017.

Counselling/ Interview

  • The candidates in order of merit will be called for Counselling/ Interview and for verification of original documents and identity by personal appearance. The allotment will be done on merit-cum-choice basis as per the merit list provided based on NEET (PG)-2017 / NEET (MDS)-2017. No change in the choice will be allowed later on. The candidates coming late during counselling may be considered but placement will be done only on the existing vacancy at that time.
  • A candidate will be given opportunity to excercise his option for course / Institution from among those available and actual allotment will be done on merit-cum-choice basis.
  • The candidates belonging to General category or un reserved category have to secure at least 50th percentile marks and candidates belonging to SC, ST, EBC & BC reserve categories at least 40th percentile marks in the competitive test of NEET (PG)-2017 / NEET (MDS)-2017, in order to fulfil the minimum performance criterion as fixed by the Medical Council of India to be eligible for admission in any Post Graduate course. No weightage will be given for Remote or any other services. Only the rank obtained in NEET (PG)-2017 / NEET (MDS)-2017 will be taken into consideration.
  • No candidate will be enrolled for two courses simultaneously i.e., as a regular student for one course and as an ex-student for the other course.
  • A candidate who has passed a degree course will not be permitted admission in diploma course of that subject.
