BITS HD 2027 has no separate result date. Your test score is shown on screen as soon as you finish the online test, expected in May 2027. BITS Pilani then announces admission offers in iterations on its HD admission portal; the first offers based on the HD test are expected in June 2027, as on 8 June in 2026.

How to Check the BITS HD 2027 Result
- Note your score when it appears on screen at the end of the online test.
- When an iteration is announced, open the official BITS HD admissions page and click the link to view your admission status.
- Log in on the BITS HD application portal (hosted on bitspilaniedu.com) with the login details you created while applying.
- Check whether you have been offered a programme and campus in that iteration.
- If you accept, pay the fee by the deadline shown, then follow the reporting instructions.
BITS posts every iteration and notice only on its HD admissions page, so check it regularly after the test.
How does BITS prepare the BITS HD merit list?
BITS makes two merit lists for each programme: one on GATE/GPAT scores and one on BITS HD test marks. Programme-wise eligibility is on the BITS HD 2027 page.
- Up to 50% of the seats in each programme are filled from each list; seats left over in one list go to the other.
- The admissions committee fixes a cut-off score in each list based on applications and seats. BITS has not published programme-wise cut-off scores.
- M.E. Software Systems, M.E. Environmental Engineering and M.Pharm. at Hyderabad fill all seats from HD test merit only.
- M.E. Advanced Electronic Systems and Smart Manufacturing adds an interview with 30% weight.
When are BITS HD admission offers made?
Offers come in iterations, and only candidates who pay the fee by each deadline stay in the later rounds.
- Iteration 1 uses GATE/GPAT scores only and comes before the HD test (4 May in 2026).
- Iteration 2 is the first round using HD test marks, expected in June 2027.
- Further iterations follow until seats are filled; in 2026 there were five, the last on 5 August, with withdrawal windows in between.
- BITS announces on the HD page when admissions for the year are concluded.
What happens after you get a BITS HD admission offer?
You must pay the admission fee by the iteration’s deadline to keep the seat, and then report to your campus on the date given. The fees below are from the 2026-27 fee schedule and are the same at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

Students admitted through the HD test get a stipend of Rs 13,400 a month during the semester, and GATE/GPAT admits get a tuition waiver of the same amount, in return for 8 to 10 hours of teaching assistantship a week. For the 2026-27 batch, tuition rises by 5% a year after the first year.
