Does Calcutta University release a CULET-UG answer key?
No, not so far. The 2026 admission schedule went straight from the test on 27 August to the result on 4 September 2026, with no provisional answer key, response sheet or objection stage.
If the 2027 schedule adds an answer key or a challenge window, it will appear in the updated admission schedule on the university’s law admission page.
How to Calculate Your CULET-UG 2027 Score
Your raw score is your correct answers minus a quarter mark for each wrong answer.
- Count the questions you are sure you answered correctly.
- Count the questions you answered wrongly.
- Raw score = correct answers – (0.25 x wrong answers). Unattempted questions score 0.
| Example | Value |
|---|---|
| Questions attempted | 90 |
| Correct answers | 70 (+70) |
| Wrong answers | 20 (-5) |
| Raw score | 65 out of 100 |
Your final entrance marks may differ a little from the raw score, because marks are normalised when the test runs in more than one shift.
What does the CULET-UG result show instead of an answer key?
The result PDF gives a full response summary for every candidate, so you can see how you did without an answer key.
- Marks obtained and normalised marks
- Total questions, questions attempted and questions not attempted
- Questions not visited and questions marked for review
- Total correct and total wrong answers
How to read it and what follows is on the CULET-UG 2027 result page.
How are CULET-UG marks normalised?
When the test is held in two or more shifts, the university converts marks using the Z-score method so that an easier or harder shift does not give anyone an advantage. The normalised marks are treated as your marks in the entrance test and decide your merit rank.
In 2026 the test ran in two shifts on 27 August, and the result shows both raw and normalised marks.
