CUET 2023 Exam Pattern – CUET 2023 exam pattern would consist of a question paper which will have at 3 sections, each specific for the course applied for. In a day a candidate would be able to attempt a maximum of 9 sections (same section for different courses), in which four sections can be taken in the morning shift (Slot 1), and 5 in the afternoon shift (Slot 2). CUET would be held in online CBT mode, and maximum duration of Slot 1 would be 3 hour 15 min, while maximum duration of slot 2 would be 3 hour 45 min. CUET 2023 would also have a negative marking of (-1).

CUET 2023 Question Paper Sections
There are three Sections in the design of the test (expected):
- Section IA – 13 Languages (As a medium and “Language”)
Languages available: Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Medium is not the same as the “Language” opted as a component of the test. “Language” test is for assessing the proficiency/skills of the candidate in the Language opted by him/her and the question paper in respect of the same will be available to the candidate in the medium opted by him/her only. The Question Paper of the “Language” Test will not be bi-lingual.
- Section IB – 20 Languages

CUET 2023 Marking Scheme
The marking scheme of the exam is as follows (expected):
- Each question would be awarded 5 marks on being answered correctly.
- (-1) marks would be deducted from the overall score in case the answer is marked incorrectly.
CUET 2023 Combination of Sections Allowed
Candidates would be able to undertake both the shifts/slots of CUET 2023, for a maximum of 9 sections in a day, depending upon courses applied for. The slot wise options available to a candidate are as follows (expected):
