CUSAT CAT 2027 is the Common Admission Test of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, for its B.Tech, integrated M.Sc, five-year law, B.Voc and most PG programmes. CUSAT’s Directorate of Admissions has not announced the 2027 dates yet; registration is expected in January 2027 and the computer-based test in May 2027.

CUSAT has not published the CAT 2027 schedule, so the 2027 dates below are expected months based on 2026, when registration opened on 27 January and the computer-based test was held from 9 to 11 May.

How to Apply for CUSAT CAT 2027
You apply for CUSAT CAT 2027 online at admissions.cusat.ac.in, under the CAT 2027 registration tab, once the 2027 prospectus is out. One application covers all the programmes you pick; the portal then shows the test code you must take for each.
Apply Online for CUSAT CAT 2027
Applications for CUSAT CAT 2027 are expected in January 2027.
- Open admissions.cusat.ac.in and click Apply Here under the CAT registration tab.
- Register with your details, verify your mobile number by OTP and activate the account through the link sent to your email within 48 hours. Your email address becomes your username.
- Log in and fill in your personal and reservation details, such as Keralite status, NRI or Gulf-worker quota.
- Upload a recent photograph (JPG, 150 to 500 KB, white background) and your signature (JPG, 20 to 100 KB).
- Select the programmes you want and the test code shown for each, then check the short preview.
- Pay the fee online by card, UPI or net banking, choose a test centre and submit. Download the confirmation page once your status shows Approved.

These are the 2026 fees, and the fee is not refundable. In 2026 the last date for UG and PG programmes was extended from 5 March to 25 March 2026, and you could edit your personal and programme details once before the last date.
Who can apply for CUSAT CAT 2027?
For B.Tech you need a pass in Plus Two (Kerala HSE, CBSE, ISC or an equivalent board) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, and at least 50% in Mathematics and 50% in the three subjects together. These are the 2026 rules.
- Kerala SC and ST candidates need only pass marks; Kerala SEBC candidates in the non-creamy layer get 5% relaxation.
- Students writing Plus Two can apply if they appear in full for the first time and have passed all earlier exams.
- B.Tech Naval Architecture and Ship Building needs a first class (60%) in Plus Two, with 50% in Mathematics and 50% in PCM.
- B.Tech lateral entry (test 102) needs a three-year engineering diploma with at least 60% marks.
- B.Tech Marine Engineering does not use CAT. Admission is on the Indian Maritime University CET rank, with 60% in PCM, 50% in Mathematics and an age limit of 25.
- 45% of B.Tech seats are All India Merit seats, open to students from any state. Non-Keralites can be considered only for these and NRI seats.
Other programmes have their own rules in the prospectus. For example, B.Voc (test 103) needs 50% in Plus Two with Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Business Mathematics or Statistics.
Which programmes does CUSAT CAT 2027 cover?
Each programme is linked to a test code, and you sit the test for that code. These are the 2026 codes.

MBA and M.Tech have no CAT. MBA uses KMAT, CMAT or IIM CAT scores, and M.Tech uses GATE (or a departmental test), but you still register on the CUSAT portal. In PG programmes other than MBA, 10% extra seats go by CUET PG rank.
What is the CUSAT CAT 2027 exam pattern?
Every CUSAT CAT test is a computer-based multiple choice test. This is the 2026 pattern of test 101, used for B.Tech:

The marking changed in 2026: up to 2025 a right answer earned 3 marks. In 2026 test 101 ran in 3-hour shifts from 9:30 AM and 2:30 PM, and CUSAT gave a mock test link in the candidate profile. Chapter lists are on the CUSAT CAT 2027 syllabus page.
Where are the CUSAT CAT 2027 test centres?
For B.Tech, integrated M.Sc (tests 101 and 104) and integrated MCA, the 2026 centres were New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Patna, Ranchi, Kota and all 14 district headquarters of Kerala. PG, law, B.Voc, integrated Econometrics and integrated MA Hindi tests were held at Kerala’s district headquarters, New Delhi and Bengaluru, and the lateral entry test only in Kerala.
You choose a centre after paying the fee. CUSAT can cancel, shift or merge centres, so check your admit card.
