DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 – National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts entrance test for admission into Five Year Integrated Journalisms (Hindi & English both Mediums) for admission into Delhi School of Journalism. The exam will be conducted in online mode on 02-09 June 2020. Eligible candidates can apply online for entrance exam on the official website du.ac.in from. Candidates who will qualify the exam will get admission on the basis of the merit list. DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020

In the Five Year Integrated Program, students will have an option to exit after three years and they will be awarded a Degree of Bachelor of Journalism (BJ). The students completing the two years postgraduate course will be awarded the Degree of Master of Journalism (MJ). Candidates can check important dates from the table below:

DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 Syllabus

DU Journalism 2020 Exam Pattern

  • No. of Questions –100
  • Total Marks – 400
  • Correct Answers – (+4) marks for a correct answer.
  • Incorrect Answers – (-1) for every incorrect answer.

How to Prepare for DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020?

Candidates can prepare for DU Journalism entrance exam to get admission, by following the mentioned below tips :

  • Follow the routine – Study for at least 8-10 hours a doy and divide the time for eah subjects according to your own comfortability
  • Syllabus – Must go through the syllabus of the course and mark all the important topics from syllabus.
  • Resive important topics –  Learn all the important topics of previous year qualification, it will make easier for you to solve the question without much hassle.
  • Practice Previous Year’s Question Papers: Solve previous year’s question paper so that you can get use to the question and it will also help in increasing your speed as the exam will be in online mode.

DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to first check the eligibility criteria before filling the form or applying to the course. Check the eligibility criteria below:

  • Qualification –Candidate must have completed 10+2 examinations from a recognized Board.
  • Qualifying Marks – must have scored an aggregate of 50% or more marks determined on the basis of five subjects offered in the qualifying examination.

DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 Application Form

The university will release the application form as per the schedule at its official website. Candidates have to fill the application form in the online mode.  Candidates are required to provide valid personal, communication and qualification details for registration. Must ensure that the details provided by the candidates must be correct, as once submitted candidates will not be able to make changes. They also have to pay the prescribed examination fee and have to upload the documents at the time for registration.

DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 Admit Card

Admit card will be released on the official website, after the completion of the application process. Candidates who successfully submitted the application form will be able to download the admit card. Candidates can access the admit card with the login details like Email Id and Password. DU Journalism Entrance Exam Admit cards will not be sent to any individual via post as well as no changes will be done in the change of the examination center.

DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 Result

After the entrance examination, the NTA will release the result of DU Journalism on the official website. It will be declared in the form of merit list. Candidates can check his/her name, rank, and marks scored by them in the merit list. Candidates who haven’t qualified the test, will not be able to check his/her name, rank and score in the merit list. On the basis of the rank scored by the candidates, DU will release the admission list for allocation of seats in the Delhi School of Journalism.

DU Journalism Entrance Exam 2020 Admission Process

After the declaration of result, round wise admission list of the selected candidates will release on the official website. In the admission list, candidates will be allotted seats on the basis of the rank and score. Then, shortlisted candidates have to report at the admission centre as per the schedule along with the relevant documents. Seats allotted in the first allotment will be the final allotment, if a candidate fails to appear for the document verification process then he/she will not get admission.

Documents required at the time of Admission

Selected candidates need to bring the following documents in original with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of admission:

  1. Class X Board Examination Certificate
  2. Class X Mark-Sheet
  3. Class XII Mark-Sheet
  4. Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
  5. Recent Character Certificate
  6. Category Certificate issued by the competent authority (if applicable)
  7. Transfer/ Migration Certificate
  8. At least two passport size self-attested photographs

About DU School of Journalism

DU School of Journalism provides admission to the integrated course in journalism for five years and BA Hons. Journalism. Admission to the course is done through the entrance as well as on the basis of merit. The course is offered in both English and Hindi languages. The School focuses on imparting knowledge and skills in Media and Communication, Writing for Media, News Reporting and Editing, and Foreign and Regional Languages following areas.
