The GBPUAT syllabus 2027 will be printed in the prospectus that comes with the Admission Notice, expected in March 2027. Until then the 2026 prospectus is the guide: the UG paper covers Physics, Chemistry and one of Biology, Mathematics or Agriculture, plus a Mental Agility section for which no syllabus is set.

- Mental Agility: no syllabus is prescribed.
- Physics: units and measurement, motion and laws of motion, work, energy and power, rotation, gravitation, properties of matter, heat and thermodynamics, oscillations and waves, electrostatics, current electricity, magnetism, electromagnetic induction and AC, optics, photoelectric effect, nuclei and radioactivity, semiconductors and transistors.
- Chemistry: atomic structure, periodic properties, chemical bonding, representative elements, coordination chemistry, thermodynamics, chemical and ionic equilibrium, redox reactions, kinetics, states of matter, solutions, colloids, surface chemistry and catalysis, organic compounds, hydrocarbons, functional groups, polymers.
- Biology (Botany): plant morphology, flower, seed and fruit, reproduction, growth, plant anatomy, plant physiology, taxonomy of seven families, plant kingdom, ecology and environment, tissue culture and biotechnology.
- Biology (Zoology): animal classification, human physiology, human embryology, animal biotechnology and immunity, cell division, genetics and Mendelism, biomolecules.
- Mathematics: sets, relations and functions, trigonometry, induction, complex numbers and quadratic equations, inequalities, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem, sequences and series, straight lines and conic sections, matrices and determinants, limits and derivatives, applications of derivatives, integrals, vectors, differential equations, mathematical reasoning, statistics, probability.

What is the GBPUAT 2027 exam pattern and marking?
Each UG paper has 200 questions for 600 marks in 3 hours, with 3 marks for a correct answer and 1 mark deducted for a wrong one.
| UG section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Mental Agility | 30 | 90 |
| Physics | 50 | 150 |
| Chemistry | 50 | 150 |
| Biology, Mathematics or Agriculture (by paper) | 70 | 210 |
| Total | 200 | 600 |
The paper is bilingual (English and Hindi). Biology belongs to the PCB paper, Mathematics to PCM and Agriculture to PCA; B.V.Sc. and B.F.Sc. need the PCB paper.
What is the syllabus for the GBPUAT Masters and MCA exams?
The Masters syllabus follows the standard UGC/ICAR course content of each subject, and the MCA paper has four sections with its own topic list.
- Masters: 50 aptitude questions and 150 subject questions from your subject group; the prospectus gives detailed Life Sciences and Physical Sciences unit lists.
- MCA Mental Aptitude (50 questions): logical reasoning, quantitative aptitude and passage-based logic.
- MCA Mathematics (90 questions): set theory, probability and statistics, algebra, coordinate geometry, calculus, vectors, trigonometry.
- MCA Computer Awareness (30 questions): computer organisation, CPU, memory, input and output devices, number systems, binary arithmetic, Boolean algebra.
- MCA General English (30 questions): comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, synonyms and antonyms, technical writing.
How should you prepare for the GBPUAT 2027 exam?
Start from the official topic list and give extra time to your 70-question subject, which carries 210 of the 600 marks.
- Print the syllabus from the prospectus and tick off each topic as you finish it.
- Cover Physics and Chemistry fully, since every UG paper has 50 questions in each.
- Practise reasoning and puzzles daily for Mental Agility, which also decides ties in the merit list.
- Take timed 200-question tests and skip pure guesses, because each wrong answer costs 1 mark.
- Check the GBPUAT 2027 exam dates and plan revision for the last month before June.
