What is in the HP B.Sc Nursing 2027 syllabus?
The syllabus is the Class 11 and 12 course of the NCERT books used by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in the year of the test. The prospectus names five subjects and gives each 20 questions:

What is asked in HP B.Sc Nursing English and Nursing Aptitude?
AMRU does not publish a topic list for these two sections, so the past papers are the best guide. In the 2025 paper the English questions tested articles, prepositions, parts of speech and fill-in-the-blank sentences.
The 2025 Nursing Aptitude questions were on health awareness and the nursing profession, for example:
- Health days, such as World Health Day and International Yoga Day.
- Common diseases, their causes and vectors, such as AIDS and dengue, and the use of ORS.
- Vitamins, immunisation (OPV) and the Rh factor.
- First aid, such as an eye splash with chemicals.
- Hospital terms such as OPD and CHC, and the ambulance helpline number.
- Waste segregation and the history of nursing, such as Florence Nightingale.

How should I prepare for HP B.Sc Nursing 2027?
- Finish the NCERT Class 11 and 12 Biology, Chemistry and Physics books first; the questions follow them.
- Give Biology extra time, because it carries 20 marks and decides ties first.
- Revise school grammar for English and read about health days, common diseases, first aid and basic nursing for Nursing Aptitude.
- Solve the HP B.Sc Nursing previous year papers in 2 hours on an OMR-style sheet.
- With no negative marking, answer every question; rule out wrong options before you guess.

Is the HP B.Sc Nursing syllabus the same as NEET?
It overlaps for Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as both use NCERT Class 11 and 12 books. HP B.Sc Nursing also has English and Nursing Aptitude, and each subject has only 20 questions.
Which chapters were removed from the HP B.Sc Nursing syllabus?
AMRU follows the NCERT books in use, which dropped chapters such as Communication Systems in Physics and Solid State, Surface Chemistry and Polymers in Chemistry. Study from the current editions.
Is there a Hindi version of the HP B.Sc Nursing paper?
No. The prospectus says the question paper is in English only.
Which subject should I study first for HP B.Sc Nursing?
Biology. It decides the rank first when two candidates have the same total. It also has the longest list of NCERT chapters to cover.
