HP B.Sc Nursing 2027 is the entrance test that Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Ner Chowk, Mandi, holds for admission to the 4-year B.Sc Nursing course in government and private nursing colleges of Himachal Pradesh. Only female candidates can apply. The 2027 dates are not out yet; the test is expected around August 2027.

Latest (14 October 2026): AMRU extended B.Sc Nursing 2026 round 2 choice filling to 11 AM on 15 October 2026, and the mop-up round is scheduled to end with joining on 29 and 30 October 2026. HP B.Sc Nursing 2027 dates are not announced yet.

How to Apply for HP B.Sc Nursing 2027

You apply online on the AMRU website, and the whole process from the form to counselling is online. The 2027 form is expected in July 2027. In 2026 the window ran from 16 to 23 July 2026, with corrections allowed until noon on 26 July.

Go to amruhp.ac.in and open Admission > Apply for Admission and counseling > B.Sc. Nursing Course.
Register with your email ID and mobile number, then log in. AMRU advises using a laptop or computer with an updated browser.
Fill in your name, father’s name and date of birth exactly as in your matriculation certificate.
Choose one category and one exam centre. State quota candidates must also fill the management quota category to be considered for those seats.
Upload a photo taken on or after 1 June of the admission year (JPG, up to 40 KB, white background) and your signature in black ink (JPG, up to 20 KB).
Pay the fee online, then click Final Submit. Paying the fee alone does not complete the form.
Download the PDF of the submitted form and keep a printout for counselling and admission.

These were the 2026 fees; the 2027 prospectus will confirm the amounts. The fee is not refunded. After final submission you cannot edit the form, and to change your category or centre you must submit a fresh form with a new email ID.

Who can apply for HP B.Sc Nursing 2027?

Only female candidates can apply, and they must meet these conditions from the 2026 prospectus:

10+2 or equivalent from HPBOSE, CBSE, ICSE, NIOS or any recognised board, with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as separate subjects.
At least 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together, or 40% for SC, ST and OBC candidates. English is compulsory.
At least 17 years of age on 31 December of the admission year. There is no upper age limit, as per the Indian Nursing Council notification of 21 August 2023.
Students waiting for their Class 12 result can apply, but must meet the eligibility by the first round of counselling.
Medical fitness. Married candidates are admitted with a medical fitness certificate.

State quota seats (all government seats and 50% of private college seats) are for bonafide Himachali candidates and children of HP government employees or employees of bodies funded by the HP government. Management quota seats, the other 50% in private colleges, are open to all Indian candidates.

Category and bonafide Himachali certificates should be the online, digitally issued versions; offline certificates may not be accepted at counselling.

What is the HP B.Sc Nursing 2027 exam pattern?

The test is one offline OMR paper of 100 multiple-choice questions in English only, with 1 mark per question, 2 hours and no negative marking. Questions are based on the NCERT Class 11 and 12 books followed by HPBOSE.

Which colleges admit students through HP B.Sc Nursing?

The 2026 prospectus listed 3 government colleges with 260 tentative seats and 47 private colleges with 1,870 tentative seats.

Private college seats are split equally between state quota and management quota. In the 2026 second round AMRU added a new government college at Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba, and Shaheed Diwan Chand Katoch College of Nursing, Baijnath. Seats depend on yearly INC approval and AMRU affiliation, so check the 2027 seat matrix.

How are HP B.Sc Nursing seats allotted?

Seats are allotted through online counselling on merit and choice after the result. The Common Centralised Counselling Committee, headed by the Director of Medical Education and Research, HP, runs up to four rounds: round 1, round 2, mop-up and stray vacancy.

You must fill and lock fresh choices in every round. A round 1 seat can be upgraded in round 2 only after you report to the college, or you can take a free exit and join round 2 directly. Colleges admit only candidates with an AMRU allocation letter.

Can male candidates apply for HP B.Sc Nursing 2027?

No. The AMRU prospectus admits only female candidates to the B.Sc Nursing entrance test and course.

Is HP B.Sc Nursing conducted by HPU or AMRU?

By AMRU, Atal Medical and Research University at Ner Chowk, Mandi, on behalf of the HP government. Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, does not hold this test.

Can I get HP B.Sc Nursing admission through NEET instead?

No. Under an HP government letter of 11 June 2026, admission to government and private nursing colleges in the state is made only on the merit of the AMRU entrance test.

Where are the HP B.Sc Nursing exam centres?

In 2026 you could choose Bilaspur, Shahpur, Nagrota, Hamirpur, Una, Mandi, Shimla, Rampur Bushahr, Solan, Nahan, Kullu, Chamba or Nalagarh. The centre you pick cannot be changed later, though AMRU may shift candidates if needed.
