IERT has not released the 2027 brochure yet, so the dates below are expected months based on 2026, when applications ran from 5 February to 30 April and the exams were held on 30 June and 3 July.

How to Apply for IERT Entrance Exam 2027
You apply online only, at iertentrance.in. There is no printed form, and you do not send a hard copy of the confirmation page to IERT.

Applications for IERT Entrance Exam 2027 are expected in February 2027.
- Open iertentrance.in once the 2027 application starts and register with your own email ID and mobile number.
- Fill the form with your name, parents’ names and date of birth exactly as on your Class 10 certificate, without any title such as Mr or Ms.
- Choose the course and your category and sub-category (if any).
- Upload your photograph, signature and thumb impression.
- Pay the fee online by UPI, debit card or net banking, or in cash at a bank branch with the e-challan.
- Keep a copy of the confirmation page and your registration number or application ID.

You may submit only one form for each course. The fee is not refunded in any case. IERT may open a short online window after the last date to correct some details.
Which courses can you join through IERT Entrance Exam 2027?
The test is for IERT’s diploma programmes, which are recognised by the UP Government and approved by AICTE. The diploma is treated as equal to the diploma of the Board of Technical Education, UP.

Civil options are Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Public Health Engineering. Mechanical options are Automobile, Power Plant, Production, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Tool and Tube-well Engineering. B.Tech admission at IERT is not through this test.
Who can apply for IERT Entrance Exam 2027?
Eligibility depends on the course. These are the 2026 brochure rules; the 2027 brochure will confirm the age dates.
- Engineering diploma: Class 10 (High School) with Science and Mathematics from UP Board, CBSE, ICSE or another state board. Minimum age 14 years on 1 July; no upper age limit.
- Management diploma: Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent, with English and Hindi at High School or Intermediate level. Minimum age 16 years on 1 July.
- PDCA: a diploma in any branch of engineering or technology, or a graduate in any discipline with Physics and Maths at Intermediate level. Minimum age 18 years on 1 July.
Students appearing in the qualifying exam can apply but must show the pass marksheet and certificate at counselling. There is no separate quota for other states; their candidates get seats only if UP candidates are not available.
What is the IERT Entrance Exam 2027 exam pattern?
Each course has one objective paper of three hours. The 2026 brochure set this pattern:

How does admission work after IERT Entrance Exam 2027?
Admission is strictly on merit at IERT’s own counselling in Prayagraj. For the engineering diploma, merit is your entrance marks; for the management diploma and PDCA, it is your entrance marks plus the interview.
- IERT uploads counselling offer letters on iertentrance.in after the result. It issues more letters than there are seats, so a letter does not guarantee admission.
- Branches are allotted at counselling by merit and your choice. A branch once allotted cannot be changed.
- If you miss your call at counselling, you lose your turn to the next candidate in merit.
- Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC and EWS, with horizontal reservation for military wards, freedom fighter dependants, persons with disability and girls, as per UP Government rules.
- If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate ranks higher.
