JAC Chandigarh 2027 has no exam, so it has no marks-based merit list of its own. Seats at CCET, CCA, UIET, Dr SSB UICET and UIET Hoshiarpur go in order of your JEE Main 2027 All India Rank. Only sports and defence seats use separate merit lists. Round 1 allotment is expected in July 2027.

How to Check Your JAC Chandigarh 2027 Merit Position and Allotment
- Note your JEE Main 2027 All India Rank (Paper 1 for B.E., Paper 2A for B.Arch). It is shown read-only in your JAC login after you authenticate.
- Log in on the JAC Chandigarh portal with your JEE Main 2027 application number and password.
- Check your category, sub-categories and Chandigarh or outside quota. These decide which seats you compete for.
- If you claimed a reserved category, check the final list of eligible candidates that JAC posts before choice filling.
- After each round, see your allotted seat in your login and compare your rank with the round-wise opening and closing ranks.
Your allotment result appears in your login and by SMS, so check it after every round.
Which rank decides your JAC Chandigarh merit?
JAC Chandigarh uses the rank list that fits the seat, then applies your category, quota and choices.

If you are eligible for both B.E. and B.Arch, your engineering choices use your Paper 1 rank and your architecture choice uses your Paper 2A rank, all in one combined choice list.
How are ties broken in JAC Chandigarh?
When two candidates share a JEE Main rank even after NTA’s own tie-breaking, JAC Chandigarh breaks the tie in this order:
- Date of birth: the older candidate gets preference
- Random draw, if the tie still remains
What separate merit lists does JAC Chandigarh publish?
JAC Chandigarh publishes lists only for claims it has to verify. In 2026 these were:
- Tentative eligibility status of reserved-category candidates, with objections, followed by the final list of eligible candidates (4 July 2026 for the regular rounds).
- PU sports merit list, after sports counselling in kit at the Panjab University Gymnasium Hall (3 July 2026, with a second trial on 5 August 2026).
- PU defence merit list (D1) and CCET defence merit list (D2).
There is no general merit list PDF and no waiting list. The 2027 lists are expected in July 2027 on jacchd.admissions.nic.in.
Can your category or quota change your merit position?
Yes. Your rank stays the same, but the seats you compete for change. At CCET and CCA, Chandigarh quota candidates share 85% of seats and others 15%, so the same rank can be inside the cut off in one pool and outside it in the other.
