How to Check the JAC Chandigarh 2027 Seat Allotment Result
- Open the JAC Chandigarh official website on the result day. In 2026 each regular round’s result came after 8:00 PM.
- Go to the candidate login and sign in with your JEE Main 2027 application number and password.
- See your allotted institute, branch and the category of the seat.
- Pay the Rs 40,000 seat acceptance fee online and submit your willingness: Yes upgradation or Freeze.
- Download the online provisional admission letter, which shows your seat, fee payment and willingness.
If you get no seat in a round, your earlier choices are used again in the next round unless you change them.

What should you do after JAC Chandigarh allots you a seat?
- Pay the Rs 40,000 seat acceptance fee online by debit card, credit card, net banking or UPI within the round’s payment window. Without it, the seat is cancelled and you drop out of the later regular rounds.
- Submit your willingness for the next rounds: Yes upgradation or Freeze, no upgradation.
- You do not report in person after Rounds 1 and 2. Paying the fee online counts as reporting.
- After Round 3, report in person at your allotted institute with original documents. A seat not reported is cancelled.
- Join the hostel queue on the day of physical reporting if you need a hostel seat.
In Rounds 2 and 3 you must keep your current seat among your choices if you edit them, or the portal will not let you save or lock.
What are Yes upgradation and Freeze in JAC Chandigarh?

How do the JAC Chandigarh special and spot rounds work?
The special and spot rounds fill seats left after physical reporting.
- Special round: new candidates can register and pay the counselling fee. Candidates already holding a seat must fill fresh choices and include their current seat.
- Spot round: fresh choices are mandatory for everyone, and old choices are ignored.
- Candidates who have not paid the seat acceptance fee pay Rs 40,000 in advance before spot round choice filling. It is kept if a seat is allotted and refunded in full if not.
- If no better seat is available in the spot round, admitted candidates keep their seat from the special round.
- Spot round seats are reported directly at the institute on the scheduled day.
How do JAC Chandigarh withdrawal and refunds work?
Withdraw only through the admission portal: log in, start the withdrawal, enter your bank details and confirm with the OTP sent to your registered mobile.
- Withdrawal before the spot round: the Rs 40,000 seat acceptance fee is refunded after counselling ends.
- Spot round advance fee with no seat allotted: refunded in full.
- Surrender after the spot round: refund only under the allotted institute’s own rules.
- The counselling fee is never refunded.
