JAC Delhi Eligibility 2016 for DTU, IGDTU, IIITD, NSIT AdmissionsJAC Delhi Eligibility 2018 – With Delhi Technological University being this year’s Coordinating Institute for Joint Admission Counselling 2018, the dates for the counselling has not been announced. The expected dates for registration starts from the second week of June 2018. Only those candidates will be allowed to apply who will fulfil the eligibility criteria of JAC Delhi 2018. Read the article below to know check all the norms of JAC Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2018.

You are informed that a sum of Rs. 1,400/- +Transaction Charges are applicable to take admission in the 4 universities offering the following courses:-

  • Delhi Technological University (DTU)- offering 4 years B. Tech.
  • Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) offering 4 years B. Tech. and 5 years B.Arch.
  • Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIT-D) 4 years B.Tech.
  • Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) offering 4 years B.E.

JAC Delhi 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidate will be considered registered successfully who satisfy the following conditions. There are multiple levels of standards on which the candidate will be tested such as:- age criteria, based on region to which the candidate belongs, minimum marks criteria, qualifying examination criteria etc. let us decipher them one by one:-

(A) Eligibility based on Region

Candidates will be divided based on two regions (a) candidate applying from Delhi Region and (b) candidates applying from Outside Delhi Region.

(i) Delhi Region Candidates- For a total of 100 % seats, out of this, 85% of total seats shall be reserved for candidates who are from Delhi Region. Aspirant passing the qualifying examination from a Government recognized School / College / Institution located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) Delhi region shall be considered for Delhi Region only.

(ii) Outside Delhi Region Candidates– For a total of 100 % seats, out of this, 15% of total seats shall be reserved for candidates who do not belong to Delhi Region. Aspirant passing the qualifying examination from a Government recognized School / College / Institution located outside the National Capital Territory of Delhi region shall be considered for Outside Delhi Region only.

(B) Qualifying Examination Criteria

If the candidate is applying for JAC Delhi 2018, he/she must have passed one of the qualifying examinations stated below:-

(i) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) of the (C.B.S.E.) Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi.

(ii) Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) of the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE), New Delhi.

(iii) Any other examination recognized equivalent to the SSCE of the C.B.S.E.

Note – Candidates getting compartment in the final year will not be considered eligible for admission to JAC Delhi 2018

(C) Minimum Marks Criterion in Qualifying Examination as per course

(i) B. E. / B. Tech. Course at DTU, IGDTUW and NSIT

Only those people will be eligible for admission who are able to secure at least 60 % or more marks in the aggregate including subjects- Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry. Apart from these, the candidate must have passed English as a subject at SSCE level. The candidate must have passed each subject individually as well.

(ii) B. Tech. Course at IIIT-D

Only those people will be eligible for admission who are able to secure an aggregate of 80 % or more marks including best of 5 subjects:- Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics. Apart from these, the candidate must secure 80% or more in Mathematics in qualifying examination.

(iii) B. Arch. Course at IGDTUW

Only those people will be eligible for admission to 1st year of B.Arch course, who are able to secure an aggregate of 50% or more marks in qualifying examination. Also, he/she should have studied and passed Mathematics at SSCE level.

Note- the candidate must mandatorily have qualified JEE (Main) 2018 (Paper- 2) examination

(D)Age Criterion

(i) For DTU and IIIT-D- Applicant should be between 17 years to 25 years as on or before 01 October 2018. 1-year relaxation shall be approved only after the approval of Competent Authority is granted.

(ii) For NSIT and IGDTUW- There is NO MINIMUM age requirement
