Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria fixed by WBJEEB. Furthermore, eligibility for admission is determined by the Nursing Directorate, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.
Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
Academic qualification:
- Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing through distance education from an Indian Nursing Council-recognised institute.
- Must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate across all academic years.
- Must have obtained registration / RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India.
Age limit: No upper age limit, except for WB State Government nursing personnel (must not be more than 53 years as on the last date of application).
Work experience: Minimum 1 year work experience as per the qualifying course (3 years for WB State Govt employees).
How to Apply
The application form was available in online mode only. Subsequently, candidates who missed the deadline cannot apply now. However, for the next cycle, the procedure is similar and includes the following steps.
- Firstly, visit wbjeeb.nic.in/jemscn and click on the online application link.
- Next, register by entering name, parents’ names, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email ID.
- Then, create a password and note the auto-generated application number.
- Subsequently, log in and complete the application by providing academic, domicile, category, and PwD details.
- After that, upload a recent colour photograph (10–200 KB) and signature (4–30 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
- Finally, pay the application fee of Rs. 3000 (plus bank charges, if any) through Net Banking / Debit Card / Credit Card / UPI / QR Code, and download the confirmation page.

Admit Card Download
The admit card will be released on 28 May 2026 and will remain available till 12:30 p.m. on the exam day. Answer Key and Result
After the exam, WBJEEB will release the answer key on wbjeeb.nic.in/jemscn. Candidates can then match their responses and calculate probable scores. Furthermore, the result and rank card will be published on a date to be notified later. The merit rank, known as GMR (General Merit Rank), will be the sole basis for counselling and seat allotment.

Tie-Breaking Methodology
If two or more candidates obtain the same score, the Board applies the following tie-breaking rules in sequence to assign distinct ranks.
- Higher total marks in Part B.
- Less negative marks in total.
- Less negative marks in Part B.
- Less negative marks in Part A.
- Older candidate by date of birth.
- Earlier application number.
Counselling Process
After result declaration, qualified candidates need to participate in the centralised online counselling conducted by WBJEEB. Consequently, the counselling process involves registration, choice filling, seat allotment, reporting, and upgradation rounds.
