Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria fixed by WBJEEB. Eligibility for admission is determined by the Nursing Directorate, Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal.
Citizenship: The applicant must be a citizen of India.
Academic qualification:
- Must have passed B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing through distance education from an Indian Nursing Council-recognised institute.
- Must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate across all academic years.
- Must have obtained registration / RNRM certificate from the State Nursing Council of any State of India.
Age limit: No upper age limit, except for WB State Government nursing personnel (must not be more than 53 years as on the last date of application).
Work experience: Minimum 1 year work experience (3 years for WB State Govt employees).

Admit Card and Result
The JEMSCN admit card was released on 28 May 2026 at wbjeeb.nic.in/jemscn. The exam was held on 07 June 2026. After the exam, WBJEEB will release the JEMSCN answer key. Following the objection window, the final answer key will be published before the JEMSCN result and rank card are declared. The General Merit Rank (GMR) will be the sole basis for counselling and seat allotment.

The paper has 100 MCQs of 1 mark each, split into Part A (40 Q on basic sciences) and Part B (60 Q on core nursing). Total marks are 100, duration is 90 minutes, and marking is +1 for correct and -1/4 for incorrect. The exam is offline OMR-based and held in English only.
