In 2026 the result came on 22 July, about three weeks after the exam, so the 2027 result is expected in July 2027. Candidates with positive marks go on to online counselling.

- Go to the Result section on the homepage and choose Diploma Entrance Competitive Examination (Lateral Entry) 2027.
- Download the result PDF.
- Search for your roll number or application number.
- Note your marks, common merit list (CML) rank and category rank for counselling.
What does the DECE LE result show?
The result is one merit list with a row for each candidate. In 2026 each row showed:
- Application number, roll number and name
- Gender, date of birth and category
- Qualifying route: 10+2 or 2-year ITI
- Number of correct, incorrect and blank answers
- Total marks out of 100
- CML rank and category, EWS, PTG, PwD and TFW ranks where they apply
How is the DECE LE merit list prepared?
JCECEB ranks candidates by total marks in one combined merit list plus category-wise lists. When marks are tied, the order is:
- 10+2 candidates are placed above 10th plus ITI candidates.
- Within the same route, the older candidate ranks higher.
- If still tied, names are ranked in English alphabetical order.
Only candidates with positive total marks are considered for seat allotment.
What is the expected Jharkhand DECE LE 2027 cut off?
JCECEB does not set a fixed cut off, so the best guide is how far down the 2026 first round went: the last CML rank allotted a seat in each quota, with that candidate’s marks (2026, official result and round 1 list of 26 July 2026).

These closing ranks include private polytechnic seats, so they show who got any seat, not a seat of choice. The top-ranked candidates in round 1 picked Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering at the government polytechnics in Dhanbad, Ranchi and Adityapur.
What happens after the Jharkhand DECE LE result?
JCECEB runs online counselling, which it calls an online interview, and allots seats on merit and choice. In 2026 it ran three rounds and a special round between 21 July and 10 September 2026.
- Register under “Online Counselling for Diploma Lateral Admissions” on jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
- Pay the counselling fee: Rs 400 for General, EWS, BC-I and BC-II, and Rs 250 for SC, ST and women (2026 fee).
- Fill as many institute and branch choices as you like, in order of preference.
- Pay the Rs 1,000 part admission fee to download the provisional allotment letter; it is adjusted in your tuition fee if you join.
- Report to the allotted institute with original documents and one self-attested copy of each by the deadline.
Documents include your Class 10 and 10+2 or ITI marksheets and certificates, the Jharkhand local resident certificate, category and EWS certificates if claimed, the DECE (LE) admit card and an anti-ragging affidavit. Check your branch options on the Jharkhand DECE LE 2027 page.
