Does JCECEB publish a DECE LE syllabus?
No detailed syllabus is published. The DECE (LE) 2026 information bulletin lists only Mathematics (50 marks) and Science (50 marks), both at Class 10 level. Past papers show that Science mixes Physics, Chemistry and Biology questions. The chapter lists below follow the Class 10 NCERT books, with a few Class 9 basics.

The paper is a 2-hour OMR test in Hindi and English. Each correct answer earns 1 mark and each wrong answer loses 0.25 mark, so guess only when you can rule out two options.

How should I prepare for Jharkhand DECE LE 2027?
- Finish the Class 10 NCERT Mathematics and Science books first.
- ITI students: revise school maths and science, because the test does not ask trade questions.
- Solve at least three past papers under a 2-hour timer.
- Mark answers on a practice OMR sheet to get used to bubbling.
- Revise formulas and reactions in the last two weeks.
