Karnataka DCET Answer Key 2027: Date, Objections

The Karnataka DCET 2027 provisional answer key is expected in May 2027, a few days after the exam, on the KEA website. You can file objections in the window KEA announces, and an expert committee decides them. In 2026 the key came out on 25 May, two days after the exam, and the revised key on 2 June.

How to Download the Karnataka DCET Answer Key 2027

Go to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and open the DCET 2027 section.
Click the provisional answer key link once it is published.
Open the PDF and find the key for your question booklet version code.
Match it with the answers on the OMR copy you took home from the exam.

How to Raise an Objection to the DCET Answer Key

You raise an objection by the date and time KEA sets in its key notice, with a justification and supporting documents for each question you challenge.

In 2026 objections were taken online only, from 25 May until 10:30 AM on 27 May.
Objections without a justification, or sent after the last date, are not considered.
An expert committee reviews the objections and its decision is final.
KEA publishes the revised key and uses it to evaluate all OMR sheets.

How to Calculate Your DCET Score

Take the OMR copy you brought home and the key for your version code.
Give yourself 1 mark for each correct answer.
Give 0 for wrong or blank answers; there is no negative marking.
Give 0 for any question where you shaded more than one circle.
Add the marks. The total is out of 100.

Your DCET marks are then combined with your final-year diploma marks in equal proportion to give your rank. See the DCET 2027 result page for how the merit list works.

Is there a DCET response sheet?

There is no separate online response sheet. The carbon copy of your OMR sheet that you take home is your record of answers, so keep it safe. KEA does not allow re-totalling or revaluation of OMR sheets.

Is the DCET answer key the same for all candidates?

The questions are common, but the paper comes in different versions. Use the key for the version code printed on your question booklet.

Can I get my DCET OMR sheet revalued?

No. KEA does not entertain requests for re-totalling or revaluation of OMR sheets.

Does KEA publish the final key?

Yes. KEA publishes the revised key after reviewing objections, and the correct keys are also published along with the results.
