The Karnataka DCET 2027 result is expected in July 2027 on the KEA website. Ranks are based on your DCET marks and your final-year diploma marks taken in equal proportion. Ranked candidates then take part in KEA’s online seat allotment. In 2026 the result came out on 17 July, with allotment rounds in August and September.

How to Check the Karnataka DCET Result 2027
- Go to cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea and open the DCET 2027 section.
- Click the result link once KEA publishes it.
- Enter your DCET number and the other details the page asks for.
- Check your DCET marks and rank, and save or print the result page for seat selection.
How is the DCET merit list prepared?
The BE/B.Tech merit list uses your DCET marks and your final-year (5th and 6th semester) diploma marks, taken in equal proportion. Internal assessment marks count where your diploma result includes them.
- If two candidates have the same merit, the one with more DCET marks ranks higher.
- If still tied, 2nd-year (3rd and 4th semester) marks decide, then 1st-year marks.
- If still tied, the older candidate ranks higher; after that, KEA draws lots.
- For 1st year B.Arch, merit uses diploma marks and the NATA score in equal proportion.
- You need 45% in the final diploma year (40% for SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka) to take part in seat selection.
What happens after the DCET result?
After the result KEA publishes the seat matrix and runs online option entry and seat allotment rounds for ranked candidates.
- You enter college and branch options once, before the first round. These options stay the same for all rounds; you can only add colleges or courses that join the seat matrix later.
- In 2026 Round 1 option entry ran from 27 July to 17 August, with allotment on 17 August. Round 2 option entry ran from 2 to 5 September, with allotment on 6 September.
- After an allotment you pay the fee and report to the allotted college by the deadline KEA sets.
- If you want to give up a seat, surrender it to KEA before the casual vacancy round. Simply not reporting to the college does not count as surrender.
- KEA publishes the cut-off ranks after each allotment round.
What is the expected Karnataka DCET 2027 cut off?
No 2027 cut off exists yet, so the 2026 Round 1 closing ranks are the best guide; at these Bengaluru colleges general merit seats closed between rank 87 and rank 2,843.
