Karnataka Diploma CET 2018 Result: Document Verification

After the Karnataka Diploma CET 2018 Result is announced candidates will have to submit their original documents for the Verification of documents. The documents to be verified have to be submitted in 16 notified Helpline Centres across the State. It is mandatory that all candidates submit their documents for verification as admission shall be confirmed only upon verification of documents. After the documents are verified the authority will issue a verification slip.

Candidates will then be given the chance to mention their course options online. Candidates will have to login into their user account. Karnataka Examination Authority will allow the seats Online after every round. The seat will be offered in the order of merit and based on the priority of options received from the candidates. Candidates can make as many choices as they want. The list below lists the documents that has to be submitted by the candidate at the time of document verification

Karnataka Diploma CET 2018 Result: Merit Determination

The merit of the candidate will be identified by giving 50% weightage to the marks obtained in Diploma Common Entrance Test (DCET 2018) and 50% weightage will be given to the marks secured in the final year examination of diploma course in the relevant branch of Engineering (Internal assessment marks will be considered for determination of merit in case of semester students, where internal assessment marks are counted for declaring the diploma result). By doing this, merit position of candidates is determined for KEA DCET 2018 Result. For Architecture courses, merit is as per NATA score.

Karnataka Diploma CET 2018 Result:Tie Resolution

If two or more candidates have the same score and have secured the same rank then the interse merit will be exercised to resolve the tie that includes

• Marks obtained in the entrance test
• Marks obtained in the 2nd year
• Marks obtained in the 1st year
• Age factor will be implemented

A separate merit list is prepared for the following colleges:

• Day Engineering College Courses
• Evening Engineering College Courses (Bangalore)
• Evening Engineering College Courses (Mysore)

Karnataka Examination Authority will not entertain any requests regarding the re-checking or re-evaluation of results.
