How to Apply for Karnataka M.Sc Nursing 2026
The online application ran from 23 September to 4 October 2026 (first set to close on 26 September) and is now closed. The steps below follow the KEA information booklet and are useful if you plan to apply for the 2027 round, expected around September 2027.
Apply Online for Karnataka M.Sc Nursing 2026
The Karnataka M.Sc Nursing 2026 application window (23 September to 4 October 2026) has closed.
- Open the M.Sc Nursing online application link on cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea.
- Click “New User? Click Here to Register” and fill the registration form. KEA sends your application number and user ID to your mobile and email.
- Create a password and log in with your user ID.
- Enter your personal details and study details, saving each page.
- Upload your photograph (taken after 1 August 2026 with your name and date on it), signature, left thumb impression and parent’s signature.
- Take the draft printout, check every entry and correct mistakes before you accept the declaration.
- Accept the declaration, submit, and pay the fee by bank challan or net banking.
- Keep at least three printouts of the submitted form and your fee receipt.

The fee is not refundable. Government in-service candidates send their application through their head of department to the DME with a no-objection certificate.
Who can apply for Karnataka M.Sc Nursing 2026?
You can apply if you are an Indian citizen of Karnataka domicile with a recognised B.Sc Nursing degree, one year of work experience and nurse-midwife registration.
- Degree: B.Sc Nursing (Basic), B.Sc (Hons) Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing from RGUHS, or another Karnataka university accepted as equivalent by RGUHS, at an INC-recognised institution.
- Marks: at least 55% aggregate; 50% for SC and ST candidates.
- Experience: one year after Basic B.Sc Nursing in a hospital, nursing college or community health setting, completed by the date of counselling. Post Basic graduates need one year before or after the degree.
- Registration: Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (or equivalent) with a State Nursing Council.
- Domicile: Karnataka domicile certificate, or a study certificate for Class 1 to 10 in Karnataka countersigned by the BEO.
- NPCC (Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care): one year of clinical experience, preferably in critical care, is also needed.
Reservation follows Karnataka rules for SC (with internal categories A, B and C), ST, Category-I, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B, plus the Kalyana-Karnataka (371J) quota. Certificates must carry an RD number.

How does KEA allot M.Sc Nursing seats?
KEA allots seats online in order of merit and the priority of options you enter. The stages are: download the verification slip, enter options, see the mock allotment, change options, see the final allotment, and report to the college with original documents.
Seats cover government, aided, private and deemed university nursing colleges in Karnataka. Seat numbers are announced when KEA receives them from the government.
